On a Thursday, the five-time Grammy laureate, aged 43, hinted at an unforeseen collaboration with the creator of My Ex’s Best Friend, who is 34, by posting a video of them working together in the recording studio.

In the video she posted on Instagram, you’ll find the singer sitting initially on a soft pink couch and then pointing the camera towards Machine Gun Kelly, who amusingly pretends to listen to one of her high heels like it’s a phone.

As a devoted admirer, I’d like to mention the captivating artist renowned for her robust vocals who soared to stardom post the launch of her smash single “Genie in a Bottle.” In her recent social media update, she penned: ‘Greetings!’

Another commented: ‘Ohhhh it’s happening.’

‘LOVE THIS OMG!! Can’t wait!!! ❤️’ a third gushed.

This past week, it was announced that Aguilera is planning to share revamped live versions of her first album as a part of Spotify’s Anniversary special. These tracks are set to drop on September 23rd.

She shared with Rolling Stone her intention to mark the 25th anniversary of her debut album by blending past and present elements. Over the years, she’s taken pleasure in reinterpreting her songs across various styles and audiences, while also experimenting with diverse sounds and arrangements that underscore how music can remain relevant over time.

Besides collaborating with MGK, the mother of two additionally joined forces with Sabrina Carpenter in creating one of the songs.

She found it to be a special experience, as the process of documenting this project brought forth both enchanting and sentimental feelings, reminding her of cherished moments from her professional journey.

She went on saying, ‘I chuckled, I wept, I reunited with long-lost companions, and I forged some incredibly meaningful new relationships.’ She added, ‘I’m hoping that this anniversary present brings you the same joy to watch as it did for me to create it.’

Initially, Aguilera launched her professional journey by participating in Star Search. Later, she was chosen for the revamped Mickey Mouse Club.

In 1996, Christina retired her mouse ears and then sang the theme song for the Disney movie Mulan, boosting her popularity and leading to the success of her self-titled debut album the following year.

The album reached the top position on the Billboard 200 chart thanks to the popularity of its hits like Genie in a Bottle, What a Girl Wants, and I Turn to You.

It became known in May that Christina had decided to leave RCA Records, the label she’d been with for 26 years, and start a new chapter elsewhere.

Currently, Christina is part of the 5020 Records label, which specializes in Latin music and is located in Miami, as reported by Variety.

It seems that neither Christina the singer, nor her previous or current record label, has made any public statements regarding the change. However, a representative from 5020 did confirm that Christina has indeed joined their label.

Over the last few months, there were rumors about a change in record labels, sparked by the appearance of the 5020 logo on her website.

The RCA website no longer lists her as an artist, marking the formal conclusion of their 26-year partnership.

In the year 1997, Christina was identified by RCA executive Ron Fair following his listening to a demo tape where she had covered Whitney Houston’s song “Run It to You”.

The $1 million that the record label put into Christina’s career proved fruitful as her debut single, Genie In a Bottle, was launched in May 1999.

For five consecutive weeks, the tune led the Billboard Hot 100 singles rankings, only being surpassed in sales that year by Cher’s “Believe.

In the first person, I could say: “My debut album topped the Billboard 200 chart, ultimately ranking as the ninth best-selling album of that very year.
