Molly-Mae Hague, who is expecting a baby, appears to be getting ready for the arrival by continuing renovations on her £5 million Victorian home. She shared an update with fans on Friday.
The 26-year-old influencer bought the seven-bedroom house in Cheshire before her breakup with Tommy Fury in August 2024, and she’s been working on renovating it ever since.
The celebrity has begun renovating the guest bedroom and bathroom, posting a photo of the space before removing all the furniture and carpet to prepare for a makeover.
I seriously can’t even with Molly right now! She’s decided to completely gut the bathroom, and it was perfectly fine! Like, practically brand new! I watched them start tearing out the tiles and ripping out the sink, and I just… I don’t understand! It’s a beautiful bathroom, why?! It’s driving me crazy!
I’ve seen a lot of celebrity home makeovers, and it’s always fascinating what they choose to keep! Even after a complete overhaul of one spare room, there’s one piece of furniture the homeowner just can’t seem to part with. It’s funny how attached we get to certain items, isn’t it?
Molly was surprised Tommy’s gaming chair hadn’t been gotten rid of, and she even joked that it might be sticking around for good, considering how long it’s lasted.
Molly and Tommy recently got back together after a surprising breakup, and Molly has been posting updates about their house renovations on Instagram.
The bedroom is beautifully decorated in soft, neutral tones. It includes a classic oak four-poster bed, elegant wall paneling, and long, flowing curtains that reach from the ceiling to the floor.
The room is beautifully decorated and includes a comfortable seating area with a TV and a stylish arched bookshelf. The fireplace, however, is still waiting to be installed, according to the Love Island star.
Last November, she shared updates on the room’s renovation, mentioning it was still a work in progress. She’d ordered a new light fixture and even revealed a hidden door leading to her bathroom.
She explained that this wasn’t planned, but she was giving us a first look at one of the rooms in their new house.
This room isn’t finished yet; I’m still waiting for the artwork and frames to be hung on the walls.
I needed to stock up on some things for all the shelves, so I bought a few items. I got some decorative pottery and a large, dark bowl that came with artificial oranges inside.
She gestured to the arched shelves, adding with a smile, ‘I absolutely adore these – they really mean a lot to me.’
We’re expecting delivery of a fireplace and a coffee table. We’re also adding frames to each of the panels.
‘That panel by the side of the bed is actually a secret door to the ensuite.
I’m eagerly awaiting the arrival of a new light fixture I ordered online. It’s more than just a light; I think it will really transform the room and create the perfect atmosphere.
If I don’t like the new light fixture, I can move the balloon light from the dining room at my other house to this room instead.
Molly’s conversation with the camera was cut short when a builder told her there was a problem with the work on her dressing room.
She said she needs a ceiling installed in the room that will become the dressing room.
Dealing with old houses is unlike anything else – the amount of work involved is far greater than with a new build, because you’re essentially bringing it back to life.
This house is quite old and full of history. We’re currently renovating and restoring it, bringing its original character back to life.
She also revealed she has been wanting to do some landscaping so the outside is complete as well.
After talking to four different gardeners, she discovered she’d been charged three times the actual cost of the work.
I got three estimates for some basic landscaping for the new house – just potted plants and soil – and the prices are unbelievably high.
I received another quote, and this one was more optimistic. After I shared the previous quotes with him, he said I was being overcharged by a significant amount – about three times the reasonable price.
