Horror-comedy Carved comes to Hulu this October: Get the first look!

As a seasoned horror-comedy aficionado who’s weathered countless blood-curdling nights at the cinema and binged through countless supernatural series, I can confidently say that the upcoming Hulu original, “Carved”, has piqued my interest like a jack-o’-lantern lit in the darkest night. The thought of a heartbroken teen playwright, her younger brother, and a ragtag group of survivors battling a sentient pumpkin on Halloween is a delightful twist on the genre that I can’t resist.

This autumn offers plenty of chilling entertainment leading up to Halloween, such as Ryan Murphy’s FX on Hulu series “Grotesquerie” and the movie “Smile 2”. However, if you prefer something less frightening for your spooky season enjoyment, I recommend checking out “Carved”, an upcoming horror-comedy on Hulu that promises to deliver as many chuckles as it does shivers.

When a heartbroken teenage playwright, her younger brother, and a disparate group of survivors become trapped in a historical reenactment village on Halloween night, they must band together to survive a relentless assault by a sentient and vengeful pumpkin.

Is that Pumpkinhead we see? The movie “Carved” draws inspiration from its 2018 short version, with director Justin Harding taking charge once more for this feature-length film. If you haven’t seen it yet, catch the short on Hulu, and here’s a sneak peek of the trailer!

In this new flick I’m excited to see, I’ll be joining forces with Peyton Elizabeth Lee, who starred in ‘Andi Mack’, Corey Fogelmanis from ‘My Life With the Walter Boys’, Wyatt Lindner of ‘Afraid’, Carla Jimenez known for ‘The Mick’, Sasha Mason hailing from ‘Ozark’, Jonah Lees from ‘The Phantom of the Open’, DJ Qualls fresh off ‘Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities’, Marc-Sully Saint-Fleur from ‘Home Economics’, Elvis Nolasco who was in ‘Godfather of Harlem’, Matty Cardarople famous for ‘Stranger Things’, Jackson Kelly known as the new Chucky, and last but not least, Chris Elliott, a familiar face from ‘Schitt’s Creek’. Let’s make some magic together on set!

For now, there isn’t a trailer available for “Carved”, but we do offer exclusive sneak peeks in the form of initial images, providing a tantalizing preview of what lies ahead.

This fall, we’re eagerly anticipating the official Huluween lineup reveal, but here are some thrilling shows and movies coming to Hulu ahead of time! “American Horror Stories” is back with fresh episodes starting October 15, a chilling ’90s-set horror flick named “Mr. Crocket” will premiere on October 11, and the Halloween special of “Family Guy” featuring guest star Glen Powell will make its debut exclusively on Hulu. Keep an eye out for more titles as we expect the streamer to announce them soon!

Will you be adding Carved to your watch list?
