As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for Hollywood-style transformations, I must say that Natasha Symms’ journey from Hollyoaks’ steamy siren Kate Patrick to a blonde bombshell running an acting school is nothing short of inspiring. Her life experience in the limelight has undoubtedly shaped her into the strong, resilient woman she is today.
Among the most prominent figures on the hit show Hollyoaks during the ’90s has undergone a significant transformation and is barely recognizable now, as she shifted her focus from performing to managing an acting school instead.
46-year-old Natasha Symms bears little resemblance to her character, the sultry brunette Kate Patrick, following her recent makeover featuring a fresh blonde hairstyle.
During the peak of her part on the soap opera, Natasha’s character, Kate, found herself entangled in a passionate relationship with Jeremy Edwards’ character, Kurt Benson.
In 1997, Natasha made her debut on the Hollyoaks cast, where she soon earned the nickname “maneater” due to her character’s string of romantic encounters. Previously, from 1996 to 1998, she appeared in four episodes of Emmerdale.
At that moment, Natasha expressed her enjoyment of her sensual act, stating: “I guess you could say I have a bit of a mysterious allure, often referred to as a ‘femme fatale.’ I’ve apparently caused the downfall of roughly two marriages, one of which belonged to the main couple featured in the show.
‘It’s a brilliant character. She unfortunately gets rather obsessed with the married men and she goes a bit nutty.’

In 1999, due to the challenges she faced coping with her brother’s disturbing advances, Kate ultimately chose to leave the village behind.
During her prime on Hollyoaks, Natasha was consistently popular among men’s magazines, and even though she continues to work within the industry, she now manages an acting school.
Her school caters for all ages, and in a post on Facebook earlier this year, she offered first sessions for just £10.
Previously, Hollyoaks aired five episodes each week. However, last week marked the start of a significant change in its broadcasting schedule, reducing the number of episodes to only three per week.
The series is planning to advance a full year ahead, resulting in the regretful dismissal of 20 actors as part of Channel 4’s ongoing budget reductions.
According to their statement, they are implementing this change since it represents the most effective approach to maintain interest among existing Heartland viewers and draw in new ones, as suggested by data from Channel 4, in an extremely competitive media landscape teeming with content.
It’s asserted that the data from their study suggests that typical soap viewers tune in to around three episodes every week.
