Dancing With The Stars fans defend Tori Spelling from cruel trolls mocking her puffy lips and ‘body-shaming’ her on season premiere

As a seasoned observer of the world of entertainment, I must say that the comments directed towards Tori Spelling are truly disheartening. Having followed her career since the days of Beverly Hills, 90210, I’ve always admired her resilience and talent.

As a die-hard fan, I couldn’t contain my excitement when Tori Spelling graced the stage for Dancing With The Stars season 33 premiere! But unfortunately, my joy was dampened as she faced an influx of harsh remarks about her appearance on various social media platforms. It’s truly disheartening to see such negativity towards someone I admire so much.

Harsh internet critics mockingly commented on the actress’s puffed-up facial features, while some expressed worry over her slim physique, instead.

Moreover, Tori was supported by a dedicated group of followers when she teamed up with professional dancer Pasha Pashkov, as they quickly came to her aid.

Beyond the critics expressing disapproval about body shaming, many of Tori’s ardent supporters felt disappointed by her low score that night, as they believed she outperformed several of her peers who scored higher.

A number of individuals posting on various online platforms criticized the 51-year-old actress, making comparisons that were less than flattering, drawing parallels between her and the character Janice from the Muppets, who is known for her distinctive blonde hair.

One user, expressing sarcasm, posted on X (previously Twitter), ‘Even loving Tori Spelling on DWTS this season!’, accompanied by an image of the Hippie Muppet songstress.

The commenters seemed to be keying in on the puppet’s exaggerated lips.

In this case, another playful post showcased a character resembling a teenager employed at a fast food joint from the Nickelodeon series “Mr. Meaty.” This character also had distinctively plump lips.

‘Listen I’m all for people doing what they want to make themselves feel their best but Tori Spelling looks like Mr. Meaty,’ another poster wrote.

Some viewers complained about Tori’s alleged plastic surgery or filler use.

‘Tori Spelling might be 87% plastic at this point,’ joked one troll. 

A different internet user, who had previously likened Tori to the Muppet character Janice, took it a step further by remarking that she resembled ‘the wife of the crypt keeper.’

As a devoted fan, I came across a post that was rather unkind, lacking the courage to express themselves directly. Instead, they chose to share a GIF of Steve Carell’s distressed expression from The Office, accompanied by the comment “Tori Spelling.” It seemed to me like an attempt to convey confusion or disappointment, but without the respect that Tori Spelling deserves as a well-known figure in the entertainment industry.

It wasn’t just Tori’s face, but also her body that was a target for some of the nastiest trolls. 

On the dance floor with Pasha, she confidently displayed an exceptionally slender silhouette, while during rehearsals prior to the season debut, Tori exhibited lean, well-defined muscles in her arms and a toned midriff as well.

In one of the rude remarks, someone suggested that she ‘really should consume…a great deal more!’, accompanied by an expression of surprise and a symbol representing death.

But the cruelty of the trolls was equaled by the vociferous defenses of Tori’s biggest fans. 

One individual stated, “I consider myself a fan of Tori Spelling if she has 10 fans or even just 1.

They went further, adding, ‘If Tori Spelling has no fans, then that means I am no longer on this earth. If the world is against Tori Spelling, then I am against the world.’
