If you enjoy the “Death in Paradise” series, you’re in luck! The spin-off “Beyond Paradise” starts its fourth season tonight, and there’s also exciting news about another spin-off, “Return to Paradise.”
This detective series is set in Australia, a departure from typical locations like the Caribbean or the UK. The show centers around Mackenzie “Mack” Clarke, played by Anna Samson, as she investigates various crimes throughout the country.
The show first launched in 2024, with a second season following last year. Now, after much anticipation from fans, the BBC has announced that filming for the third season is officially happening.

Detective Sergeant Mackenzie Clarke returns after disrupting yet another wedding for Glenn, and she’s now resolved to avoid romance. However, suppressing her feelings proves to be a challenge, according to the story’s summary.
Mack faces her biggest challenge yet with the arrival of her strong-willed mother, Jillian. Meanwhile, the new pathologist, Leo, has a certain appealing charisma, and Tai Hara’s character, Glenn, appears to be embarking on a journey of self-discovery.
What to Read Next
Okay, so Dolphin Cove still looks like the perfect getaway, but honestly, the murders just keep happening there! Luckily, Mack is on the case, and she’s as sharp as ever. She’ll crack the mystery, with a little help from her awesome, quirky team, of course.
Samson and Hara will return alongside Lloyd Griffith, Catherine McClements, Celia Ireland, and Aaron McGrath. Joining them are new cast members Mark Lee, Tina Bursill, and Anthony Hayes.
I’m really excited for season three! It’s going to have six episodes, just like the first two seasons, and everyone’s saying it’s super compelling and entertaining. They haven’t given us a specific date yet, but they’ve confirmed it’s coming out sometime later this year. I’m counting down the days!
This news arrives as the popular show Beyond Paradise returns with a new season premiere tonight. The series follows detectives Humphrey Goodman, played by Kris Marshall, and Martha Lloyd, played by Sally Bretton, who work and live in Devon.

A key storyline in the detective drama has followed Humphrey and Martha as they became foster parents. However, according to Marshall, this won’t be a central focus in the next few episodes.
He shared with Digital Spy that their plans to foster have been put on hold. After Rosie’s departure in season three, they decided to take a step back from the idea, and it won’t be a focus in season four.
Beyond Paradise, Death in Paradise and Return to Paradise air on BBC One and stream on BBC iPlayer.
