The best Death in Paradise books to buy

Tonight marks the end of season 15 of Death in Paradise, after a series full of twists and turns. The finale was delayed from its original airdate of March 20th due to BBC’s Comic Relief coverage, but now we’ll finally find out what happens with DI Mervin’s niece, Eloise, who made a surprise appearance.

I’m so excited for series 16, but the wait is a little long! Luckily, there’s a new series of Beyond Paradise starting tonight at 8pm, which is perfect because it’s right before the Death in Paradise finale. And if you’re really needing your fix, they’ve collected all the books connected to the show to keep us busy until then!

Death in Paradise: The Puzzle Book is the official puzzle companion to the popular TV show. It includes 150 puzzles – like anagrams, crosswords, Sudoku, and detective case studies – all inspired by the show’s blend of cozy mysteries and tropical island settings. It’s designed to be challenging but not too difficult, making it perfect for puzzle fans.

Amazon currently has a decent discount – you can order it at a 23% discount for just £11.49.

There are plenty of comforting crime novels available, from series like The Thursday Murder Club (with a big discount on the newest book, The Impossible Fortune, right now!) and Richard Coles’ Canon Clement Mysteries. But when it comes to truly relaxing reads in this genre, nothing beats the novels by the creator of Death in Paradise.

The books in the Death in Paradise Mystery series were created by Robert Thorogood, the writer of the popular TV show. This collection includes four novels featuring the original detective, DI Richard Poole: Murder in the Caribbean, Death Knocks Twice, The Killing of Polly Carter, and A Meditation of Murder.

What to Read Next

Instead of being based on particular episodes, these are complete stories on their own, making it a great way to dive into the world of Richard and his friends.

If you enjoy Robert Thorogood’s books, you might also like his other work, including the popular series, The Marlow Murder Club.

If you enjoy listening to audiobooks, you’ll be happy to know that Richard Thorogood’s Death in Paradise series is available on Audible.

I’m so excited about the A Meditation of Murder audiobook! And if you love that one, you should definitely check out The Killing of Polly Carter, Death Knocks Twice, and Murder in the Caribbean too. As an Audible member, I can grab each one with just one credit, but if you’re new to Audible, they’re offering a free 30-day trial – perfect for trying them all out!

Death in Paradise’s series 15 finale airs tonight at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
