Peacock sets release date for Anatomy of Lies (What is it about?)

As a devoted fan of Grey’s Anatomy, I must say the revelation about Elizabeth Finch’s fabricated stories was nothing short of mind-boggling! It’s like watching an episode where the patient turns out to be a serial imposter.

2022 saw a shocking revelation for fans of Grey’s Anatomy: one of its writers was exposed as a liar. As the truth emerged, Elizabeth Finch’s life fell apart. Delve deeper into this tale in the book titled Anatomy of Deception.

Starting from 2015, Finch has shared personal tales about her health struggles on Grey’s Anatomy. She opened up about battling a rare type of bone cancer and undergoing a kidney removal. Interestingly, elements from her experiences were incorporated into the development of Dr. Catherine Avery’s cancer storyline.

Beyond that point, she penned articles on her health conditions for numerous publications. Several of these pieces were adapted into plotlines for the television show.

Anatomy of Lies will go into Finch’s web of lies

Peacock is set to air a three-part documentary series titled “Anatomy of Lies“, delving into the intricate network of stories spun by Finch. Her downfall began when Vanity Fair published an exposé, leaving no room for concealment as the harsh truth was laid bare before her.

Finch declined to share her personal health records or submit to an external assessment when Disney was examining allegations that her accounts were false. However, the probe didn’t reach a definitive conclusion. Following her placement on administrative leave, she chose to step down from her role, thereby ending the investigation prematurely.

The events transpired in March 2022, but it wasn’t until December 2022 that she finally confessed to having lied about everything. Remarkably, she also fabricated the story of her brother taking his own life. In fact, he is very much alive and residing in Florida!

When will Anatomy of Lies premiere on Peacock?

As a fervent enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the three-episode docuseries I’ve been eagerly anticipating will grace Peacock on October 15th. Remarkably, all three episodes will be available simultaneously!

The show will feature conversations with people who were once part of her life, such as her ex-spouse, discussing anecdotes about their past and overlooking warning signs together.
