Dragon’s Dogma 2 Gets a Hefty Update Adding a New ‘Casual Mode’ and Vocation Balancing Tweaks
As a seasoned adventurer with countless hours spent slaying dragons and battling hordes of fearsome foes in the original Dragon’s Dogma, I must say that this latest update for its sequel is nothing short of a godsend! The addition of Casual Mode is particularly appealing to those of us who have grown accustomed to the game’s challenging nature but still want to enjoy the thrill of exploring the vibrant world of Gransys without breaking our controllers in frustration.
In simpler terms, Capcom has introduced a significant update for the upcoming game Dragon’s Dogma 2. This patch includes features such as a new Casual Mode, tweaks to make the gameplay more balanced across different character classes (Vocations), and numerous performance enhancements.
In Casual Mode for Dragon’s Dogma 2, players can enjoy a more relaxed experience, featuring lower costs at inns, discounted Ferrystones, less stamina usage when dashing outside of combat, and recovery for companions affected by dragonsplague, even if it progresses to its most severe state – preventing a catastrophic event.
Accumulating sufficient weight to reach ‘Heavy’ or ‘Very Heavy’ status will be more challenging in Casual Mode. Furthermore, the loss gauge won’t progress if you opt for ‘Load from Last Save’ following the Arisen’s demise.
Among the adjustments, a Portcrystal is incorporated into Bakbattahl, pawns receive more unique idle movements, and you now have unlimited chances to resurrect your Main Pawn at Forgotten Riftstones. Additionally, ‘Sovran’s Crown’, ‘Sovran’s Plate’, and ‘Sovran’s Greaves’ have been included in the items exchangeable with the Dragonforged.
