First trailer for Robert Pattinson’s delayed sci-fi movie is coming today

As a seasoned gamer and movie enthusiast who has navigated through countless delays, cancellations, and unexpected twists, I must say that the anticipation for “Mickey 17” is palpable. The latest teaser has only heightened my excitement for this highly-anticipated film, and the enigmatic phrase “have a nice death” leaves me intrigued about the plot’s unfolding mysteries.

Prior to its delay, Mickey 17 had been eagerly awaited as one of the standout films of the year. Now, we’re fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of more from the film.

Warner Brothers has unveiled a fresh sneak peek for director Bong Joon-ho’s upcoming science fiction film featuring Robert Pattinson. This teaser indicates that the official trailer for the movie titled “Mickey 17” will be debuted today, specifically on September 17th.

While we can’t provide an exact hour, trailers from Warner Bros usually arrive around 2 PM (UK Time). Given that the teaser dropped overnight, it seems like we might have to wait a bit longer this time.

For now, check out the Mickey 17 teaser below:

Hey there, fellow gaming enthusiast! If you’re scratching your head over why Berto tells Mickey “have a nice death” at the end of the Mickey 17 teaser, I’m here to shed some light on this intriguing movie plot. Let me walk you through what it seems to be about.

According to the novel Mickey 7 by Edward Ashton, the film has me playing the character of Mickey 17, an “expendable” individual. I am a replaceable employee on a human mission aimed at colonizing the frozen planet Niflheim.

Mickey 17’s role involves tackling the riskiest aspects of the mission, and in case he perishes during this process (which seems likely), a new body grows with many of his past memories preserved.

Yet, during the mission, an unusual event occurred that inadvertently spawned a fresh version of Mickey, despite the original not having perished previously, which was quite an awkward situation.

Initially scheduled to be released in March 2024, the film titled Mickey 17, featuring Naomi Ackie, Toni Collette, and Mark Ruffalo, was postponed indefinitely following the production disruptions caused by the 2023 strikes.

Gladly, it has been confirmed for an early release next year on January 31, 2025, as Warner Bros announced the date earlier this year.

His new film is the first one he’s made since the massive global success of “Parasite,” which earned over $260 million globally and took home four Academy Awards, including the prestigious award for Best Picture.

Mickey 17 is released in cinemas on January 31, 2025.
