Kourtney Kardashian defends her decision to co-sleep with her children - and reveals daughter Penelope, 12, slept with her until she was ELEVEN

As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I wholeheartedly support Kourtney Kardashian‘s decision to let her children co-sleep well into their late childhood. It’s clear that she values creating a close bond with her kids and prioritizes their emotional wellbeing over rigid sleep training methods.

Kourtney Kardashian is defending her choice to allow her kids to sleep with her even as they grow older.

On a recent episode of the Skinny Confidential’s Him & Her podcast, the founder of Poosh, who is 45 years old, expressed that it feels both instinctual and natural for her to have her children sleeping in the same bed as her.

In our conversation, it came to light that Kourtney had permitted her oldest child, 12-year-old Penelope, to share her bed with her up until the age of 11.

The television personality posts photos featuring Penelope, along with Mason (age 14) and Reign (9), whom she had with her ex-partner Scott Disick. Additionally, she has a 10-month-old son named Rocky Thirteen, who she shares with her current spouse Travis Barker.

Kourtney explained to Lauryn Evarts Bosstick and Michael Bosstick that she believes each individual is unique, and every child has their own distinct character. She shared that her eldest son, Mason, continued sleeping with her up until he was seven years old.

She clarified, “At times, I’d put him to sleep in his own room, but later on, he’d enter my room.

Eventually, ‘He stopped and he was like, “I’m done with you. I sleep in my own room.”‘

The Kardashians star added: ‘My daughter slept with me pretty much ’til she was 11.’

Just as my devoted half-siblings did prior, I find myself sharing a room with my beloved parents at night, much to the comfort of little Rocky.

Kourtney mentioned that she’s currently working some really odd hours due to our entire summer of touring, and added that another factor could be the fact that we’re co-sleeping with our child.

She mentioned, “As a mother, I prefer actions that come naturally to me. To put it simply, this is my approach. Of course, I am aware of the advantages and have heard about them. In fact, instinctive behaviors like this are what mammals have been exhibiting throughout history.

Additionally, Kourtney mentioned that her 48-year-old spouse, Travis (who is a member of the famous pop-punk band Blink-182), enjoys sharing a bed with their son when they sleep together at night.

She stated, ‘It’s crucial for both parents to be in agreement about that, and my partner shares this sentiment.’

Yet, she subtly suggested that her mother, Kris Jenner (at 68 years old), holds a differing viewpoint regarding their sleep arrangement.

Kourtney stated, “She needn’t fret as it’s not her child and she’s finished having children.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase that statement like this: In my experience, maintaining a healthy relationship amidst a bustling family life can be quite the balancing act. Just like Kourtney and Travis, my advice to couples is to prioritize their bond and find ways to make it work. When asked about their intimate moments away from their children, Kourtney simply replied: “We make it happen. We adapt and adjust our schedule as needed.

‘You just put locks on the theatre door,’ she joked.
