I can hardly contain my excitement for “The Penguin,” premiering this Thursday, September 19th at 9 p.m. ET, on both HBO and Max. While we’ll be diving in on the 19th, subsequent episodes will follow every Sunday, starting with the 29th of September, giving us a weekly dose of adventure. In total, there will be 8 captivating episodes. Here’s a sneak peek at the episode release schedule:

This gritty crime series centers around the main character, known also by his nickname Oz Cobb. It delves deeper into the dark criminal landscape of Gotham City as this character ascends to dominance. Serving as a sequel to the 2022 Batman film, it features Colin Farrell portraying The Penguin. Sharing the screen with Farrell are Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone, Michael Kelly as Johnny Viti, Scott Cohen as Luca Falcone, and additional cast members.

Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story

Stream on Netflix

Frankly speaking, Dahmer on Netflix sent shivers down my spine, not in a pleasant manner. However, it was an engaging show based on real-life crime. Consequently, I’m eager to see how Monster: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story unfolds in the upcoming season of the series. You can anticipate all 10 episodes to release on Sept. 19, Thursday, exclusively on Netflix. Here is the official synopsis:

Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, chronicling the case of the real-life brothers who were convicted in 1996 for the murders of their parents, José and Mary Louise “Kitty” Menendez. While the prosecution argued they were seeking to inherit their family fortune, the brothers claimed – and remain adamant to this day, as they serve life sentences without the possibility of parole – that their actions stemmed out of fear from a lifetime of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse at the hands of their parents.

I’m thrilled to share that the upcoming season has me playing Cooper Koch as Erik Menendez, with Javier Bardem taking on José Menendez, Chloë Sevigny portraying Kitty Menendez, Nicholas Alexander Chavez stepping into Lyle Menendez’s shoes, Nathan Lane bringing Dominick Dunne to life, and Ari Graynor embodying Leslie Abramson. Can’t wait for this captivating journey!
