As I delve into this captivating narrative about Billie Shepherd and her family, I am struck by the remarkable journey they have embarked upon since their television debut. The Mummy Diaries, a series that has chronicled their lives, seems to have been an integral part of their upbringing, much like how a beloved toy or comfort blanket might be for a child.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t contain my excitement and a tinge of sadness as Ferne McCann herself has announced that the upcoming season of her beloved reality TV series will be its swan song. This news comes just days after our dear Billie Shepherd bid adieu to her own behind-the-scenes show. I can’t help but wonder what the future holds for these talented ladies and their captivating stories!

McCann, well recognized for her frequent stints alongside Shepherd on The Only Way Is Essex, has shared her story – from being a single parent during pregnancy to becoming an engaged mother of two – across various ITVBe shows such as First Time Mum and more recently, My Family And Me.

However, the television figure, aged 34, has decided it’s time to end things following a tough choice made jointly with her fiancé, businessman Lorri Haines, and their six-year-old daughter Sunday, who is Sunday’s child from a previous relationship with Arthur Collins.

As I excitedly share this bittersweet news with all my dear Instagram followers, let me tell you that after an unforgettable journey spanning 13 thrilling seasons, I’ve made the heart-wrenching choice to bring this amazing chapter of life as a part of @fernemyfamandme to a close. This decision was not easy, but I am looking forward to what lies ahead! #LastSeasonOfFernemYFamAndMe

Let me start by expressing my heartfelt gratitude to every one of you who has watched my program and joined us on this incredible family adventure.

For the past seven years, this show has played an extraordinary role in my life, and the journey of making it – from expecting Sunday to where we are today – has been nothing short of thrilling. Your unwavering support and devotion towards me and my family have at certain moments given me a boost greater than you can imagine. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude.

McCann, who is also a parent to a 14-month old son Finty with Haines, commented: ‘Since I began filming this series, I’ve put my whole heart and soul into it. I truly feel like I’ve laughed, cried, loved, and lived alongside you, as we shared the highs and lows together.’

‘This decision hasn’t been an easy one, but it feels like now is the right time for a change.

I took this decision, keeping the welfare of my kids, particularly Sunday who’s been through this entire journey with me, at heart. My children are my utmost priority, and now that Sunday has grown into an independent individual, I wish for her to explore her own way and carve out her unique path.

I’m deeply appreciative to each individual who took time to watch our show, offered their support, and remained by our side throughout this journey. From the depths of my heart, thank you.

The admission comes after former co-star Billie and her husband Greg reportedly quit their own ITV show, The Family Diaries, after six series’.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but express my admiration for this extraordinary pair. They’ve chosen to halt their beloved show, where they so candidly shared glimpses of their family life, to give their kids the priceless gift of growing up away from the glare of cameras and public scrutiny.

Billie, aged 34, and Greg, aged 39, who are parents to Nelly (10), Arthur (7), and baby Margot (21 months old), have spent their entire lives in the limelight due to reality TV shows.

In 2014, when she was still just a newborn, their eldest child, Nelly, first appeared on the television show ‘The Only Way Is Essex’.

Much like Nelly, Arthur made his screen debut soon after birth, as Billie and her sister Sam introduced him in their shared series titled The Mummy Diaries.

As a devoted admirer sharing insights, I can express that a reliable source confided in me that Billie cherished her experience on the show immensely, found plenty of joy along the way, yet feels it is now crucial for her to allow her children a brief respite from the limelight, away from the camera’s gaze.

She cherishes the memories she’s made and will keep them close to her heart for a lifetime; she’s deeply appreciative of the work done by the production company. Yet, she’s eager to delve into fresh possibilities with ITV.

‘There is no bad blood and the sky is the limit.’

A representative from ITV stated, “At present, we’re working on a fresh installment of The Family Diaries set to broadcast on ITVX and ITVBe by the end of this year. We are also discussing potential collaborations with Billie regarding projects slated for 2025.

TopMob have contacted Shepherd’s representatives for a comment.

During an exclusive chat with TopMob in May, Billie and Greg opened up about the strategies they use to ensure their kids stay down-to-earth despite growing up under the public spotlight.

Billie mentioned that it’s been a regular practice for them and their kids to film, something they’ve grown accustomed to since it’s been a constant part of their lives.

As a devoted supporter, I would only intervene if Nelly were to express any concerns to me.

It’s clear that the children’s well-being is our top concern and source of joy. At the same time, we’re skilled at helping them maintain a balanced perspective in life.

She added: ‘They are kids at the end of the day, I think, you know, Nelly is such a funny, happy little character, so like, personable.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve often observed that some individuals thrive on social interaction and have a knack for maintaining a vibrant network of relationships. In my professional opinion, this propensity for connecting with others can only bring about favorable outcomes in their personal and professional life, paving the way for a prosperous future.

I’ve often pondered the question, “Would she encounter different treatment or face unique challenges?” However, in reality, we haven’t experienced any of that.

At our school, there have been no issues or problems arising so far. Since Nelly is quite transparent and keeps us informed about everything, we would immediately learn about any such incidents. Fortunately, we’ve managed to avoid facing such situations thus far.
