Karate Kid star Chad McQueen is dead at 63: Son of legendary actor Steve McQueen passes away from organ failure after injury years earlier
As a devoted admirer of the silver screen, I find myself deeply saddened by the passing of Chad McQueen at the tender age of 63. The son of the legendary Steve McQueen, Chad carved his own niche in Hollywood, most notably starring as Johnny Lawrence’s rival, Johnny, in the original Karate Kid film.
Chad McQueen, who played a supporting role in the original Karate Kid film, has died at age 63.
On Wednesday, McQueen passed away at his residence in Palm Desert, California due to organ failure, as reported by his longstanding legal representative Arthur Barens to TMZ.
McQueen was not only known as an actor, but was also the son of the iconic star Steve McQueen.
Based on his lawyer’s statements, it appears that McQueen was dealing with deteriorating organ function due to a severe injury sustained in the past. This condition ultimately proved fatal for him.
He was reportedly surrounded by his children and his life partner in his final moments.
