Better than donk? poii sets new CS2 kill record
As a seasoned CS2 fan with years of watching and analyzing matches under my belt, I must say that poii has certainly caught my attention! This young Swedish phenom has shown incredible skill and potential, breaking a record previously held by none other than donk. Although it was an online match, his 39 kills against Zero Tenacity on Anubis speak volumes about his raw talent.
CS2 fans will definitely keep an eye on poii from now on.
Alex “poii” Sundgren, one of Sweden’s rising CS2 stars, has shattered the regular kill record that was previously held by Team Spirit sensation Danil “donk” Kryshkovets. During the match against Zero Tenacity on Anubis, EYEBALLERS rifler spectacularly outperformed his teammates, ending the map with a staggering 39 kills and only 15 deaths across 24 rounds.
In just eight days since Donk established a new CS:GO regulation kill record of 38 against Wildcard during ESL Pro League Season 20 on September 9th, Poii’s performance from September 12th is truly impressive. However, it’s essential to mention that Poii set the new online record, while Donk remains the holder of the regulation kill record in a LAN environment.
Following the conclusion of the game, numerous individuals from the CS2 community began inquiring about the same topic: Who is ‘poii’?
Who is poii, the CS2 player who broke donk’s kill record?
While what poii accomplished is nothing but incredible, he’s still unknown to most CS2 fans. The 17-year-old player has been competing since December 2023 and made the jump from Lilmix to EYEBALLERS during the player break in June.
In CS:GO, renowned three-time Major champion Jesper “JW” Wecksell referred to poii as Sweden’s future superstar upon the latter joining forces with him on the team EYEBALLERS.
If Poii maintains his current performance, it won’t be long until a larger organization realizes his potential and makes an attempt to recruit him away from EYEBALLERS. Many teams these days prefer to nurture young talents rather than signing established players.
Over the past several days, competition in CS2 esports has been exhilarating, with teams M80 and Fnatic breaking the record for the longest single CS2 map ever contested.
