Venom 3’s final trailer reveals Spider-Man star’s return
As a lifelong Marvel fan who’s seen every Venom movie and read countless comics, I can’t help but feel a mix of anticipation and nostalgia as I watch the final trailer for Venom: The Last Dance. Having grown up with Spider-Man and Venom battling it out on the big screen, it’s bittersweet to know that this will be the last ride for our symbiotic anti-hero.
Venom: The Last Dance has dropped a final trailer, teasing Spider-Man star Rhys Ifans’s character.
In “The Amazing Spider-Man,” the character we know as Dr Curt Connors, or Lizard, was played by [actor’s name]. However, it seems that he may be taking on a different role in the upcoming “Venom” sequel.
In the trailer, Ifans’s hippie-like character is seen in the back of a van alongside Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock, the closed captions confirming his character is called Martin.
“There comes a time in every man’s life where you have to make a sacrifice,” he tells Eddie.
In the forthcoming film, we’ll follow the narrative of Eddie and his iconic alien creature, as “Venom” and “Venom: Carnage Unleashed” scribe Kelly Marcel takes on the directorial role for the next installment.
In May, it was announced by Sony Motion Pictures Group chairman Tom Rothman that The Last Dance would mark the end of the film series.
Speaking about upcoming projects in Sony’s Marvel universe, he hinted: “The final movie of the ‘Spider-Verse’ series by Phil Lord and Chris Miller promises to be a major milestone. Similarly, the next installment featuring Tom Holland as Spider-Man is something to look forward to.
He added that the “third and last Venom is going to be huge”.
Besides Hardy and Ifans, who are reprising their roles, the third installment will feature Juno Temple from Ted Lasso and Chiwetel Ejiofor known for Doctor Strange.
Previously, Temple shared insights about working on the movie, expressing to Variety: “It was an absolute blast, and I had the pleasure of collaborating with some fantastic individuals.
Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate enough to work with truly exceptional co-stars. I’m eager for this project to be released, as I believe it will be a successful one.
Venom: The Last Dance is set for release on October 25.
