As someone who has spent countless hours glued to my television set, I must say that it’s always a thrill to witness the National Television Awards, a night that honors the best and brightest in the world of entertainment. This year was no exception, with Strictly Come Dancing taking home one of the night’s biggest prizes, beating out heavyweights like Britain’s Got Talent and The Great British Bake Off.
Martin Lewis might have felt disappointed on Wednesday night, given that he didn’t secure a win at the National Television Awards.
At this year’s awards ceremony held at London’s O2 Arena, the well-known financial advice guru was nominated in the Factual Entertainment category, recognizing his valuable cost-saving suggestions.
However, it was Stacey Solomon, a member of the Loose Women panel and known for her obsession with housework, who emerged victorious in the reality TV series category, as Martin’s Money Show fell short in the competition called Sort Your Life Out.
In a strong category, Solomon also beat popular shows Clarkson’s Farm, Gogglebox and The Yorkshire Vet to the award.
Instead, it seemed that viewers paid closer attention to Lewis’ visible displeasure as he watched the TV host ascend the stage.
