At the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, The Kid Laroi found himself unable to resist touching Tate McRae, as they each chose to stroll individually down the red carpet.
21-year-old Lil Uzi Vert (Laroi) was spotted getting affectionate with his 21-year-old Canadian popstar girlfriend at the venue, surrounded by some of the most renowned global musicians. They were seated together, displaying their affection openly.
In a camera-friendly moment, the Australian singer affectionately kissed McRae on the cheek after wrapping an arm around her, then admired the songwriter known for “Greedy.
He seemed to stay close by her, engaging in conversation with other well-known figures such as Lil Nas X and Chappell Roan without appearing to depart from her presence.

The brunette charm, too, sported large, springy curls akin to the pop sensation known for “Oops!… I Did It Again,” as she walked the red carpet alongside the most stylish and alluring celebrities.
She accessorised with dainty rings and jewels from Jacob and Co.
McRae opted for a black balconette bra and a high-cut, playful thong instead of Spears’ usual boy shorts under her mini dress.
Her attire closely resembled Britney Spears’ navy ensemble from the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards, during which she made headlines by carrying a large snake over her shoulders on stage.
Due to her past experience in dancing, McRae is often likened to Spears. Previously, she referred to this comparison as ‘quite an honor.’
