As a gamer with a soft spot for animated superhero adventures, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the next installment of the Spider-Verse saga. The rumors about delays and behind-the-scenes trouble had me feeling a bit like Peter Parker when faced with Doc Ock’s mechanical arms – worried but hopeful that everything would work out in the end.
Producer Chris Miller, from “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse“, has dismissed rumors that the movie’s release has been postponed because of issues occurring off-screen.
According to a more recent update from The Insider, it seems the third installment of the Academy Award-winning series might not hit the screens until 2017, all because of certain creative issues.
Contrarily to the speculations, Miller has clarified on X that nothing has been abandoned. Instead, he mentioned that the production is progressing well.
In a post on his personal account, Daniel Pemberton, the composer for Spider-Verse, responded to the rumors by saying, “I rarely like to comment on such matters, but have you ever found things on the internet that aren’t always completely accurate?
The movie titled “Beyond the Spider-Verse” initially planned to premiere in March 2024, however, it got postponed indefinitely the previous year as a result of the Hollywood actors’ and screenwriters’ strike that has since been resolved.
In a statement made around late March 2024, Brian Tyree Henry, the voice actor for Jeff Morales in the trilogy, shared some encouraging news. He stated that the third movie is once again being developed, indicating that the production process has resumed.
He assured Deadline, “It’s definitely being developed, and you can expect it soon. The upcoming project will be even more grandiose than its predecessor.
In August 2024, Karan Soni, the actor who gives voice to Pavitr Prabhakar, informed the Times of India that the recording will begin within a few months.
“That movie is deep in production. It’s animation, so it’s different and takes a long time. We’ll see when it’s ready and when it ends up coming out, but I’m really excited,” he added.
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse does not currently have a release date.
