Holly Hunter’s Captain Nahla Ake, a newcomer to Star Trek, is also centuries old – over 400 years – due to her Lanthanite heritage. In the fifth episode of Starfleet Academy, “Series Acclimation Mil,” these two long-lived characters became a trio. Now, the show is poised to give all three of them a major focus.

A new Pirates of the Caribbean movie is in the works, and according to The InSneider, Disney has brought on Krysty Wilson-Cairns – the Oscar-nominated writer of 1917 – to write the script. The film will likely center around Jack Sparrow’s son, and appears to be moving forward with a new lead, rather than Johnny Depp reprising his iconic role.
