2024’s PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (PMGC) is quickly approaching, as teams from all corners of the globe fight to secure a place at the summit of PUBG MOBILE esports competition.

2024 PMGC represents the third global tournament of PUBG MOBILE for the year, and it’s the most significant one. It follows the 2024 PUBG MOBILE Global Open (PMGO) and 2024 PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMWC), which were held earlier this year in Brazil and Saudi Arabia respectively.

A total of forty-nine teams will be competing in the League Stage for the 2024 PMGC, with one team coming from the host nation.

2024 PMGC format and prize pool

Similar to what happened in the previous year, the 2024 PMGC will initiate with a League phase lasting for four weeks, which will be followed by a span of three days for the Grand Finals.

During the Group Stage, we’ll have 3 sets of 16 teams, making a total of 48 teams. Each set will play their games in a specific week, consisting of 24 matches spread over four matchdays, with each team playing six matches.

In this tournament setup, the best teams from every group move on to the Grand Finals, the second-place teams in each group progress to the Survival Stage, while the lowest-ranked teams from each group are knocked out of the competition.

At the Survival Stage, we’ll split the 24 participating teams into three groups, each consisting of eight teams. Over three days, each group will play six matches daily, adding up to a total of 18 matches per group in a Round-Robin style. The teams with the highest rankings at the end progress to Last Chance, while the lower-ranked ones are eliminated from further competition.

At the Last Chance, the final teams will compete in twelve games. The highest-scoring teams proceed to the Grand Finals, whereas the lowest-performing ones are disqualified.

During the Grand Final event, a total of 16 teams will compete – 15 teams that advanced from the League Stage and an additional team given a direct invite from the hosting nation. Over the course of three days, they will play a total of 18 games, with six matches taking place each day.

All matches will use the official PUBG MOBILE Global Esports point system, with one point for every elimination and additional points based on the team’s final placement during the match: 10 points for #1, 6 points for #2, 5 points for #3, 4 points for #4, 3 points for #5, 2 points for #6, 1 point for #7-8, and 0 points for #9-16.

In this tournament, a grand total of $3,000,000 in prizes will be distributed among all participating teams according to their final positions and individual achievements. The specific breakdown of prize allocations will be revealed shortly. Additionally, the results of this competition may impact the upcoming PUBG MOBILE Power Ranking update scheduled for December 2024.
