Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Doesn't Have Pre-Order Campaign Early Access

As a long-time Call of Duty fan who vividly remembers the thrill of diving into the campaign early, this news has left me with a bittersweet feeling, much like finding an empty candy jar on Halloween night (and we all know how devastating that can be!). I’ve always appreciated the chance to get a head start on the story before jumping into multiplayer madness, but I must admit, there’s something rather appealing about everyone embarking on this new Black Ops adventure together at the same time. It’s like waiting in line for the best roller coaster – the anticipation builds and when the ride finally starts, it’s an exhilarating shared experience. So, while I might miss my early access candy, I’m ready to hop on the roller coaster with you all on October 25th! Let’s see who can get the highest score in Zombies mode!

It appears that Activision has made clear, with roughly a month left until launch, that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will not offer early access to the campaign if you choose to pre-order this year.

On October 25th, our team is completely geared towards that date. We’re thrilled about the array of experiences that the game will offer, spanning Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies modes. In contrast to previous years, we’ve chosen to synchronize the release so that everyone can enjoy all game modes simultaneously. Therefore, we are preparing for a unified global launch on October 25th, as Activision shared with CharlieIntel in a statement.

“As such, there is no Early Access beat this year for Black Ops 6, just the countdown to launch.”

If you share my taste in games, you’ll likely find the Call of Duty campaign an excellent warm-up for multiplayer. However, not having early access to this year’s story mode might disappoint some gamers. On the other hand, it’s also beneficial for everyone to start playing at the same time. What are your thoughts on this approach?

The new version of Call of Duty: Black Ops, namely Black Ops 6, will be available starting from 25th October on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and personal computers (PC).
