Censor breaks Record for Most Pull Ups in a Day

The censor successfully set a new record by performing the greatest number of pull-ups within a 24-hour span. After preparing for this endeavor for over a year, he shared a video prior to his attempt.

The goal was to raise money for Project Purple which helps patients with Pancreatic Cancer. Having lost his grandmother to Pancreatic cancer when he was a kid, this is a mission close to his heart.

How much Time did he take to complete 9,250 pull-ups

Initially, Censor embarked on an endeavor aiming to perform as many pull-ups as possible within a 24-hour period. Remarkably, he managed to accomplish 9,250 pull-ups, finishing the task more than five hours ahead of schedule.

Previously this year, Censor stepped away from professional competitions, marking the conclusion of his 13-year-long career. Upon announcing his retirement, he expressed his ambition to surpass the current record for the highest number of pull-ups performed in a single day, which at that time stood at 8,600 repetitions by Gary Lloyd.

After an intense gaming session, my hands are a testament to the battle scars – blistered, calloused, and showing signs of wear and tear. The struggle was real, folks!

How much was raised for charity?

Censor managed to raise more than $8,500 for Charity. The final amount is not yet known but we will update the article when more information becomes available.

Later on, Japan’s Kenta Adachi shattered the previous record by performing 8,940 pull-ups in a span of 24 hours, with this remarkable accomplishment aimed at garnering support and funds for Project Purple. This charitable organization is dedicated to boosting efforts against pancreatic cancer, having already contributed over $3.5 million towards research. Notably, Project Purple has set up the world’s largest consortium focusing on genetic mutations related to pancreatic cancer and established Nebraska’s initial high-risk clinic for this type of cancer.
