NEOWIZ’s IDOLY PRIDE to go offline on April 26, 2026, marking the end of its idol management run

Story Highlights

  • IDOLY PRIDE is an idol management RPG that brings an original storyline separate from the anime.
  • Refunds will be available until May for unused paid items purchased between March 25, 2025 and March 25, 2026.

NEOWIZ has announced it will be closing IDOLY PRIDE, its popular idol management RPG, on April 26, 2026. This shutdown will affect both the Korean and global versions of the game. IDOLY PRIDE first launched in South Korea in 2021, and became available worldwide in 2023 after being officially announced that year.

IDOLY PRIDE prepares for a goodbye as shutdown date nears

IDOLY PRIDE is a role-playing game where you manage and develop a team of idols in a brand new story, distinct from the anime. As the manager of Hoshimi Productions, you get to choose idols and train them how you like. You’ll be responsible for everything from creating groups and overseeing their daily routines to directing their stage performances.

The IDOLY PRIDE team has sadly announced that the game will be shutting down on April 26th. In a message posted on their Discord server, they expressed gratitude to players, saying, “Even though we struggled with how the game was run, we’re so thankful for the support and encouragement from all of our players, and we’ve truly cherished this time.”

Enjoy the final moments with rewards, refunds, and more

After the recent announcement, you can no longer make purchases in the game, but you can continue playing as normal until the End of Service (EOS) date. As a thank you to players, the developers are giving out daily rewards for logging in, free character poses, and special card reveals featuring cards that haven’t been released yet, all leading up to EOS.

I’ve covered the news about EOS so much this week, it’s hard to keep track! It’s been tough as a gamer to see it end, and the fans are clearly upset too. Many are acknowledging the team’s dedication – one fan said they “definitely had passion for this,” while another noted “it was good for its specific audience.” At least fans will receive refunds for any in-game purchases made since March 2025.
