Selling Sunset star Amanda Lynn breaks her silence on racist tweets as she fuels explosive season 8 feud with Chelsea Lazkani

As a dedicated fan of Selling Sunset, I must say I was initially thrilled about the newcomer Amanda Lynn joining the cast. However, her recent past has left me a bit disheartened and confused. The revelation of her old tweets, containing racial slurs, is truly disappointing.

In a recent statement, new cast member Amanda Lynn from Selling Sunset has defended herself against accusations of racism, following the resurfacing of some past tweets on TikTok that sparked controversy before the premiere of season 8.

Leading up to the premiere of the new Netflix show on September 6, a sneak peek revealed that the real estate agent had previously shared tweets containing the offensive n-word in their history.

Amanda later commented on the tweets, labeling them as a momentary misstep, and expressed her feelings of remorse.

A spokesperson for Amanda Lynn explained to DailyMail.com that the tweets at hand, posted more than ten years ago, were momentary errors in judgment and do not align with her current convictions and principles.

‘She regrets the mistake, has learned from it, and is not racist.’

In the series Selling Sunset, Amanda entered the scene as a friend of Bre Tiesi, carrying news that Chelsea Lazkani‘s spouse, Jeff Lazkani, was spotted locking lips with a woman who appeared to be younger than he is, in the lobby of a hotel.

Prior to the launch of season eight, a TikTok video shared by user @stephwithdadeets gained traction online, featuring what appeared to be old tweets from Amanda, dated back to 2012 and 2013.

Two of the posts contain a remark that employs a racial slur, originally made by another user, and a third post contains a racially discriminatory statement. Currently, her account is set to private.

In the video, the TikTok user shared their findings, stating: ‘Amanda Lynn, who’s new here, is not just a real estate agent; she’s also got a history of racial insensitivity in her past.’

It appears that I, being a devoted follower, might be the one who confides in Bre [Tiesi] about Chelsea’s [Lazkani] spouse, as suggested by the season eight trailer.

A person shared some past tweets with me, originating from Amanda Lynn. It appears that Amanda Lynn has utilized a racial slur, specifically the ‘n-word,’ on multiple occasions.

In a subsequent post on TikTok, Chelsea (from Selling Sunset) shared a video she didn’t originally create and asserted that Bre collaborated with Amanda with the intention of causing harm or damaging her reputation.

‘Bre brought her racist friend on the show to try to ruin me,’ she alleged on X.

‘Never met the Amanda girl a day in my life but her and Bre in her words wanted to “take me down.”

I captured the moment since it was essentially a narrative on its own. Everything was carefully planned out, and I did my best to manage the situation.

The controversial TikTok clip spread rapidly across various social media platforms, with many users accusing Netflix of failing to conduct comprehensive background checks on their actors.

Regarding the video about X, a user commented that a new cast member named Amanda Lynn has been found to have posted offensive tweets containing racial slurs in the past.

‘When we asked for drama we didn’t ask for bigotry. Jesus does production vets these new women.’

On Reddit, someone wrote: ‘I can’t figure out why the makers continue to cast Selling Sunset in such an unappealing way.’

‘Do they not see how much people dislike Selling The OC?! We don’t need a repeat.’

A user stated: “I honestly wonder, in the year 2012, who considered it even slightly appropriate to utilize the ‘n-word’. In my opinion, I never did, and I never will. Some people are truly appalling.
