Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will likely stream on Max after theaters

As a seasoned gamer and movie enthusiast with over three decades of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that the long-awaited sequel to the ’80s horror-comedy classic, “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice”, is not one to be missed. Despite being a theater purist for most films, I must admit that this one’s digital and streaming release is a godsend for those who prefer to enjoy their cinematic experiences from the comfort of their homes.

Currently, several films are being screened in cinemas, but if there’s one you absolutely shouldn’t skip, it’s the new release titled “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice“. After more than three decades, the long-awaited sequel to the ’80s hit horror-comedy movie “Beetlejuice” has finally premiered. Trust us; you don’t want to miss this one!

But look, we know not everyone is fond of theaters. If you’re this type of person, you’ll be glad to know that Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is expected to be given a digital and streaming release. That way, you can watch this new horror-comedy at home. A digital release will happen first, followed by a streaming release. However, neither of these releases will happen anytime soon, at least not in September.

It’s highly probable that “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” will stream on Max. This is due to Warner Bros. Pictures distributing the horror-comedy, and their theatrical movies usually appear on Max following a theater release. Although an exact streaming release date hasn’t been announced, we have a rough idea of when the movie could potentially be available on Max.

Warner Bros.’ films such as Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and The Watchers are now available on Max around 84 days after their initial theater releases. If the film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice follows this trend, it might arrive on Max in either November or December of 2024. However, please keep in mind that our prediction may not be accurate and the release date could shift earlier or later than expected. Once the official streaming release date is announced, we’ll update you accordingly.

Tim Burton was the one behind the direction of “Beetlejuice” in a screenplay jointly penned by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. This film is set 36 years following the initial movie’s events, with our focus on Lydia Deetz, who has grown up, as her life experiences a dramatic shift when her long-lost daughter Astrid is inadvertently led into the afterlife.

We shared the movie’s official synopsis below via the Warner Bros. website:

Beetlejuice is back! After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it’s only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem.

In the upcoming film, Winona Ryder once again takes on the character of Lydia Deetz, as does Catherine O’Hara as Delia Deetz and Michael Keaton as Betelgeuse, the main character. Jenna Ortega from ‘Wednesday’ plays Lydia’s daughter, Astrid. The cast also includes Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Willem Dafoe, among others.
