BBC’s brand new award-winning comedy has season 2 confirmed
As a dedicated fan who has binge-watched every episode of Things You Should Have Done, I can wholeheartedly say that this news about season 2 has me absolutely “thrilled” to the core! Having followed Chi’s hilarious journey through her list of ‘Things You Should Have Done’, I can’t wait to see what new adventures await our beloved characters in sunny Ramsgate.
BBC comedy Things You Should Have Done has been renewed for season 2.
The award-winning show from Big Boys star Lucia Keskin debuted earlier this year, and follows stay-at-home daughter Chi as she works through a list of ‘Things You Should Have Done’ left by her parents after their unexpected deaths.
The second season’s six episodes will carry on by chronicling Chi’s humorous escapades, and we can expect to see Aunt Karen (played by Selin Hizli), Dave (Dan Fearne), and Lucas (Jamie Bisping) joining the fun once again.
“Keskin jokingly commented, ‘It looks like the BBC has given us another round for series two, which unfortunately means I’ll need to get back to work again. Oh boy, am I disappointed.'”
As a devoted admirer, I eagerly join in the excitement: “Off we go once more! A journey back to sun-soaked Ramsgate, thanks to Chi’s captivating creativity,” said producer Steve Monger. “Can hardly wait to share the quirky family’s return with you all on your screens.”
Jon Petrie, Director of Comedy at BBC, commented: “In ‘Things You Should Have Done‘, Lucia has fashioned something remarkably bizarre and entirely one-of-a-kind. We’re eagerly anticipating discovering more items on Chi’s list and witnessing the mischief that will ensue as they unfold among the residents of Ramsgate, who are blissfully unaware.”
The show previously won the Best Comedy Programme at the Broadcast Digital Awards.
Previously this year, Keskin skillfully replied to a critical review of “Things You Should Have Done” by Joanna Page from the show “Gavin and Stacey,” which she expressed on a podcast.
In an amusing twist, Keskin shared a video of herself eating a banana, accompanied by audio clips of Page’s critique. Subsequently, she placed a post-it note with the word ‘Bald’ (a playful reference to Page’s frequent use of “bored” in her review) and a broken heart emblem over an image of Page’s face.
In response to discussions on X/Twitter, Keskin expressed: “Everything comes with criticism, it’s just natural. But it’s essential to offer constructive feedback without making someone feel devalued about their work, especially when they are part of the same field. Navigating through ‘critics’ can already be challenging.”
