Daredevil Jared Leto vows to climb famous Sydney monument without a harness- as his band Thirty Seconds kick off Australian tour

Oh boy, do I have some exciting news for all you Thirty Seconds to Mars fans out there! Jared Leto, the charismatic frontman and actor extraordinaire, is coming Down Under for the Australian leg of their world tour! And let me tell you, this man is not one to shy away from a little adventure.

This week, Jared Leto has flown down under to initiate the Australian segment of the global Thirty Seconds to Mars concert tour.

One day, the lead actor and bandleader dropped by KIIS FM’s late-night show hosted by Mitch Churi. During the interview, he shared his excitement about possibly trying out some thrilling activities during his trip to Australia.

When asked about any famous structures he’d like to ascend, Leto, an enthusiast of thrilling activities and who conquered The Empire State Building in 2023, expressed his intention to attempt scaling the Sydney Harbour Bridge, provided he could manage it sans a safety line.

He mentioned to the radio host that he would indeed visit the Harbour Bridge, but admitted it seemed a bit too secure or routine-like for his taste.

‘I’d want to do something a little bit further on the edge’ the performer continued.

If given the chance to ascend without using a rope, I would definitely take it. I don’t believe there’s a need for harnesses among us climbers, as I assume we all are securely fastened.

Jared then called for fans to give him some ideas for what he could scale while in the country.

He expressed his willingness to participate in an activity somewhere in Australia, mentioning his interest in rock climbing. He also invited anyone with suggestions to send him a private message directly.

Meanwhile, Jared’s band is about to kick off their tour.

In 2024, the band responsible for “The Closer to the Edge” hits is planning a global tour, and it will feature several concerts in Australia.

The comprehensive tour features a series of performances in Australia, starting with the band playing at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on September 12, 2024. After that, they will move on to Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena, followed by a finale at Brisbane’s Riverstage.

From there, they’ll head over to New Zealand before hitting other territories.

With a dramatic, rock-star style, the lead singer Jared Leto unveiled the tour by scaling the iconic Empire State Building in New York City.

In a statement, Leto expressed that the structure serves as a symbol of what can be accomplished when we apply ourselves wholeheartedly, which largely influenced the creation of our latest album titled “It’s The End Of The World But It’s A Beautiful Day.”

The global tour will include the band’s journey through Latin America, Europe, and North America, marking their first major tour in more than five years as the headliners.

The band’s last album dropped on September 15, 2023, peaking at No. 76 on the Billboard 200.

Established in 1998, the band is currently made up of Jared, serving as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist, his brother Shannon, playing the drums, and Tomo, handling both the lead guitar and keyboard duties.

In his spare time, when he isn’t performing high-energy rocker feats such as leaping from bungees on stage or scaling the Empire State Building, Jared devotes himself to acting.

He most recently starred in the Disney film Haunted Mansion, playing the character Hatbox ghost.

Before these roles, Jared played Michael Morbius in Morbius and Paolo Gucci in House of Gucci.

2014 saw Jared making a significant impact in Hollywood when he was awarded an Oscar for his exceptional portrayal of a transgender AIDS patient named Rayon, in the film Dallas Buyer’s Club.
