The FX crime drama starring Charlie Hunnam is suddenly very popular again on demand. A recent price drop has led many fans to rewatch or discover the show.

According to FlixPatrol, the TV show Sons of Anarchy unexpectedly climbed into the top 10 on a streaming store in the US on March 24th, starting at number 9 and quickly moving up to number 7. Despite the final episode airing over ten years ago, the show’s recent popularity is probably because of a big sale on the complete series boxset – it was discounted by $50! Currently, all 7 seasons and 92 episodes are available for $29.99, but the price will likely go back up after the sale ends.

Created by Kurt Sutter, who also made The Shield, Sons of Anarchy first aired in September 2008 and ran until December 2014. The show centers around an outlaw motorcycle club and its members in a made-up California town, with the story following Charlie Hunnam, the son of the club’s original leader.

Alongside Charlie Hunnam, Sons of Anarchy boasted a talented cast including Katey Sagal from Married… with Children, Mark Boone Junior, and Thomas Flanagan of Gladiator. Four years after Sons of Anarchy ended, FX created a spin-off called Mayans M.C., continuing the story in the same world. This new show focuses on characters from the original series, specifically the Mayans M.C., who went from being rivals to allies with the Sons of Anarchy.

Mayans focused on EZ Reyes (J.D. Pardo), a member trying to earn his place in a motorcycle club, and the bright son of a proud Mexican family. The show lasted five seasons with 50 episodes, delivering the intense, dramatic action that fans of Sons of Anarchy enjoyed, but set in a fresh and engaging new world.
