High Potential trailer gives us a look at the new quirky ABC drama

As a long-time fan of quirky and unconventional TV shows, I am absolutely thrilled about the upcoming series “High Potential” on ABC! I’ve always appreciated the unique perspectives these shows bring to the table, and this one seems no exception.

This autumn, several fresh TV crime dramas are on their way, and ABC is offering another unusual one titled “High Potential“. It’s an adaptation of the French show “Haute Potential Intellectuel

One fact we’ve learned about the show is it follows a janitor who arranges clues correctly to aid police in solving a murder. Now, she’s being consulted for additional cases, but not everyone is thrilled about this development

The initial trailer for the show reveals that she meticulously arranges things, and it’s hinted that she’s hesitant about taking on the role of a consultant. Moreover, she’s presented as not your typical single mother

It’s evident that ABC’s character, ABC, enjoys variety. This series undeniably embodies that trait, with Kaitlin Olson portraying a stylish and modern single mom. Despite having three children to support on a cleaner’s income, she never compromises her fashion sense. This aspect might seem unrealistic in the storyline, but isn’t a touch of unrealism a common element in all fiction?

Apart from preferring solo work, she sometimes gets so engrossed in her music and dancing that she might accidentally knock over a case file. One such instance revealed an overlooked detail: the supposed suspect was actually a victim who had been wrongly accused

Her presence might complicate the detective’s tasks, but she’s here to assist. She’ll be privy to additional evidence since she frequently examines various cases, as hinted in the trailer. She possesses a keen eye for details that others might miss, and when the police err, she feels compelled to intervene

She doesn’t want to work with the cops, though. With her IQ and her dislike for cops, it suggests that she has some sort of backstory that involves a run-in with the cops. What is her secret?

Take a look at the trailer for High Potential:

High Potential premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 17 on ABC.
