A new system update arrived in March 2026 for eFootball 2026, though it’s not a major content release. The update focuses on upcoming player packs featuring midfield legends, but also includes important changes to coin refunds and stricter measures against cheating, which could impact account access.
eFootball 2026 March update: All the details explained
Update on coin refunds policy
A key improvement in this update concerns refunds for eFootball Coins. Previously, if you requested a refund from Google Play after using coins in the game, the system would automatically subtract those coins from your account.
Important update for eFootball players: If your account has a negative coin balance, you won’t be able to play matches. Stay tuned for more eFootball news and updates!

If you don’t have enough coins when a transaction happens, your account will go into negative balance. This will now limit what you can do in the game, including playing eFootball League. Basically, you’ll need to get your coin balance back into the positive to enjoy the full game experience.
National Midfielders’ pack arriving
Next Monday, March 30th, 2026, we’re highlighting National Midfielders and releasing improved versions of two players you already know.

Okay, so I’m super excited – Ribéry and Gattuso are back with updated cards! Ribéry’s got this new Momentum Dribbling thing, which sounds awesome for taking on defenders, and he’s also great at crossing the ball. Gattuso, true to form, is still a total beast in midfield – a real destroyer with skills focused on solid defense and winning tackles. Basically, they’ve both had a little refresh and are ready to go!
Joining the team is Christian Karembeu, featured in the 30th Anniversary Legend edition. He’s a dynamic, all-around player with the Low Screamer and Fortress skills.
League exploit punishments being enforced
KONAMI is cracking down on cheating in eFootball League. Players caught using hacks, exhibiting unfair gameplay, or employing unauthorized software will be suspended or restricted from playing. KONAMI is actively watching player-versus-player matches to ensure fair play, so they advise against any disruptive behavior.
eFootball Points shop refresh
The eFootball Points shop has been refreshed with a new freebie: you can get 100 eFootball Coins for 0 points! It looks like this offer isn’t available everywhere, so be sure to check your local Points store to see if you can claim it.
A Cup Champion Has Been Crowned campaign
To celebrate a recent cup victory, Manchester B players will temporarily receive an upgrade to an A rating in the game, from March 26th to April 2nd, 2026. This is a limited-time promotion.
