Chanelle Hayes reveals she changed her bridal dress just weeks before her wedding after another star wore the same gown – but fans don’t recognise it

As a diehard fan of Chanelle Hayes, I must say her life story never ceases to amaze me! From reality TV stardom to multiple relationships and now a beautiful wedding, she’s truly living the dream.

Chanelle Hayes admitted that she switched her wedding dress a few weeks prior to her nuptials, as another celebrity had worn the same dress earlier.

Previously famous for Big Brother, a 36-year-old individual named Dan Bingham tied the knot with his partner in a private wedding held at The Northorpe Barn in Yorkshire, exactly two years following their engagement, which took place in July.

Instead, it wasn’t until the day prior to the wedding that Chanelle finally selected the dress to wear, as she made a last-minute decision to modify her original gown instead.

On Tuesday, the reality star displayed her new look on Instagram, having altered an off-the-shoulder tulle gown following her observation of another celebrity wearing the same dress at their wedding.

In fact, viewers were puzzled about whom Chanelle was mentioning since they did not recognize the original dress at all.

1. Option A: “Who was that other woman, by the way?” (Answering the question about the identity of the ‘other lady’)

In her own words, Chanelle shared the following comparison between the original intricate beaded gown featuring a bodice and spaghetti straps, and its modified counterpart: “I’ve only revealed this to my family and bridesmaids until now.”

Due to an unexpected situation, I needed to alter my wedding gown a few weeks prior to my big day, as another well-known figure had worn the same dress on their special occasion, creating an unintended duplication.

I didn’t favor “Who wore it better?”-style surveys or such irrelevant things, as everyone had their unique, unparalleled moments, and comparing them isn’t equitable.

The dress went through a change, transforming from Version A, featuring simple spaghetti straps and no belt, into Version B, showcasing off-shoulder tulle sleeves and a belt attached to the bottom of its corset.

To put it simply, I’ve found that Version B seems a better fit for my preferences, and I’m grateful for the circumstances that led to its modification. Now, I’d love to hear your opinions – among all the options available, which one do you think would suit me best?

Instead of a ‘who wore it best’ poll, Chanelle opted for an Instagram poll asking which dress looked best among the changes she had made, with her followers expressing their appreciation for the alterations.

Nicola McClean wrote: ‘Much prefer the alterations you made, absolutely stunning x’ and ‘Oh my, those alterations were meant to be, because the dress and you look absolutely stunning!’

Earlier, Chanelle shared that due to her losing additional weight following an ME flare-up, the dress needed adjustments as well.

I stopped by just one boutique, specifically a bridal one – and I believe it was the fifth gown I tested.

Chanelle announced her engagement to Dan in May 2022.

It appears that the previous resident of BB house was particularly excited about it and confirmed with great relief upon learning that OK! magazine: She has been yearning for this opportunity for so long. In simpler terms, the BB housemate was reportedly thrilled and affirmed positively with a sense of relief upon finding it.
