The musical adaptation of Beetlejuice is coming to London’s West End, and a star known from Harlan Coben’s thrillers will play the iconic role made famous by Michael Keaton in the 1988 film. The show, which first premiered a few years ago, will open at the Prince Edward Theatre on May 20th.
David Fynn, known for his role in the Prime Video series Lazarus, will play the main character. Producers say he’ll bring a captivating and playfully wicked energy to the role.
The actor described the show as something they’ve long appreciated for being daring, hilarious, and wonderfully unpredictable. They expressed that taking on such a well-known role felt like a great honor and a bit strange.

I’m excited to put my own spin on the role while still capturing what people love about the character. And honestly, I pull off stripes really well, even if I’m feeling a bit cynical.
Similar to the film, the series follows Lydia Deetz, who lives with a pair of ghosts and accidentally calls upon the troublemaking Beetlejuice.

This musical shares the same creative team as the Broadway hit Moulin Rouge! The Musical. Alex Timbers directs, while Eddie Perfect wrote the music and lyrics, and Scott Brown and Anthony King crafted the story.
Tickets are available now from ticket sellers like ATG, TodayTix, and Love Theatre. The show will run until April 17, 2027.

Okay, so I’m super excited because they made a new Beetlejuice movie! It’s called Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and it was awesome seeing Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and even a tribute to Catherine O’Hara back in their roles. Plus, they added some new faces like Jenna Ortega and Willem Dafoe, which really freshened things up. As a fan of the original, it was a blast!
Critics generally liked the film, giving it a ‘Fresh’ rating of 75% on Rotten Tomatoes. However, Digital Spy noted it was an enjoyable and nostalgic sequel, but didn’t offer much substance.
While the new Beetlejuice Beetlejuice doesn’t quite reach the groundbreaking originality of the 1988 Beetlejuice, it definitely manages to recreate that same wonderfully quirky and playful spirit, as we noted.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant 100-page tribute to Harry Styles, is now available! You can find it at newsstands or purchase it online.
