1000-lb Sisters’ Amy Slaton frowns in mugshot after being arrested at safari park when cops were called to ‘camel bite’
As a lifestyle expert, I must express my deep concern and dismay at the recent turn of events involving Amy Slaton, one of the stars of 1,000-lb Sisters. It is always heartbreaking to see someone struggle with personal issues, especially when they have been in the public eye for so long.
A cast member from the popular show “1,000-lb Sisters” was taken into custody after being accused of drug possession and risking a child’s wellbeing, following an occurrence at a wildlife park in Tennessee.
Amy Slaton, 36, can be seen frowning in a mugshot released by Crockett County Sheriff’s Office.
She was arrested on Labor Day along with Brian Scott Lovvorn, who is facing the same charges.
Police were initially called to the Alamo safari park to reports a guest had been bitten by a camel.
Upon arrival, they noted ‘suspicious odors’ coming from their vehicle, according to the deputies.
Slaton and Lavvorn were apprehended for allegedly holding controlled substances from Schedules I and VI illegally, along with being accused of putting children in danger on two separate occasions.
They have been booked into the Crockett County Jail.
Slaton finalized her divorce from ex-husband Michael Halterman last year.
The duo has two kids and, it seems, they often disagreed about how they were portrayed on the TLC reality program.show.
The pair welcomed their first child, Gage Deon, in November 2020 and their second son, Glenn Allen, in July 2022.
In an interview with People, she expressed that during their marriage, there was neither emotional nor physical support, nor any sign of affection or kindness. Instead, what she endured was mental cruelty. She confided that she eventually grew weary of concealing this distressing reality from others.

A confrontation between her, her sisters and Michael was shown on season five of the series.
‘That’s the day I left,’ she said. ‘But I was falling out of love with him before that.’
After a lengthy custody battle, the former couple decided to share parenting duties.
Amy gained popularity by appearing alongside her sibling, Tammy Slaton, in the TV show “1000-Lb. Sisters.” The latest season of this program was released towards the end of the previous year.
The star has dropped an impressive 176 pounds ever since having weight loss surgery five years ago.
Prior to her divorce being officially completed, Slaton started dating a man from Michigan named Tony, as reported by the US Sun.
By the time her divorce was finalized the couple had been together for around three months.
DailyMail.com has contacted Slaton for comment.
