George R.R. Martin to drop a blog on everything House of the Dragon has gotten wrong

As a hardcore fan who’s been following the world of Westeros since the days when “Winter is Coming” was just a catchphrase, I can’t help but feel a mix of anticipation and trepidation as George R.R. Martin prepares to dissect HBO’s House of the Dragon. It’s like waiting for the Lannisters to drop the next bombshell – you know it’s gonna be explosive, but you’re not quite ready for the fallout!

It appears George R.R. Martin is prepared to discuss and offer insights into the mistakes HBO’s “Game of Thrones” spinoff, “House of the Dragons,” has made during its initial two seasons.

In his blog post dated August 30th, Martin hinted at preparing a publication that could potentially stir controversy regarding “House of the Dragon.”

Martin expressed that he isn’t excited about the additional posts he must write concerning issues with HOUSE OF THE DRAGON, but he acknowledges that this is necessary work. In essence, he’s letting us know that he has several concerns regarding the spinoff, and it comes as no surprise to us given the circumstances.

During Season 2, Martin appeared to suggest that he wasn’t fond of some artistic choices the show made in adapting his original works. In a blog post dated July 5, Martin subtly indicated his displeasure with alterations made to Blood and Cheese in the series.

As a passionate fan, there’s certainly a wealth of thoughts on that topic swirling in my mind, but this platform isn’t quite the right setting for me to delve into it all just yet. The intricacies are far too complex and require a more in-depth exploration. Rest assured, I will dedicate a separate post to unpacking the various issues sparked by Blood and Cheese… and Maelor the Missing at a later time. There’s so much to share!

He hasn’t voiced his issues with the program yet, but when he eventually gets straight to the point and releases his critique, there’s no doubt that it will cause a massive stir online!

Absolutely, it might take a while until the roast gets served, given that it’s the same author who’s been crafting his newest “Game of Thrones” novel for the past 14 years. Fingers crossed we won’t have to wait too long to hear George R.R. Martin’s opinions on the show’s missteps and how strongly he feels about them.

We’re confident he’ll reveal many secrets when it’s time for him to step down, since there’s been a lot of buzz surrounding the show’s second season and the alterations made. It will be intriguing to hear Martin’s take on what aspects of the show went astray.
