Carol Vorderman has shared that she’s considering getting a facelift within the next two years.
The 65-year-old presenter has responded to criticism about getting Botox to look younger, and she recently confirmed she plans to have more cosmetic surgery.
Responding to criticism about her cosmetic procedures, Carol stated she’s free to spend her money however she chooses and is open to having more surgery if she wants.
I recently chatted with Richard Eden from the Daily Mail, and I was honest about how I feel about aging. I admitted I don’t quite have the same glow I had in my forties, but honestly, I don’t think I look bad for my age. I’m embracing where I am now!
I get Botox treatments, and I’m considering getting a facelift within the next few years.
I worked hard for my money, and I deserve to spend it however I choose. I’m comfortable with who I am, but I also enjoy taking care of my appearance, and those things aren’t mutually exclusive.
Carol has openly shared that she doesn’t worry about aging, especially considering the criticism she frequently receives about her looks.
In a 2024 interview with The Sunday Times Magazine, she revealed that cosmetic procedures like Botox are common among television personalities. She explained she chooses to maintain her appearance in a way that personally brings her joy.
Eventually, you reach a stage where you stop worrying about what others think. I really like David Bowie’s take on getting older: he said you finally become the person you were meant to be.
I feel like I’ve finally become the person I was always meant to be, now that I’m in my sixties. I receive a lot of negativity, but it doesn’t bother me at all – in fact, it motivates me even more.
She clarified that she’s never had breast augmentation, but her bust size increased by three cup sizes during menopause.
This followed a comment from Carol about how difficult things were, after she mentioned she only had ‘three special friends’ – a reference to her relaxed approach to dating.
She’s always been honest about dating multiple people simultaneously, explaining that she prefers it to being in a committed, exclusive relationship.
Either Carol or her partners could have ended the relationships at any time. Now, though she’s broken up with two of them, she hasn’t found any new partners and is currently continuing relationships with the remaining three.
I was so excited to hear her on Alan Carr’s podcast this week! She playfully mentioned she’s narrowed things down to three options, but also hinted that things are a bit tough right now.
Okay, so she’s told everyone she likes keeping things casual, which, honestly, is fine, but get this – she actually doesn’t do those quick, flirty holiday romances everyone else seems to have! It’s so weird and specific, and it just makes me think she’s even more complex than I thought. Like, she wants casual, but rules for casual? It’s fascinating!
She explained that she clearly distinguishes between a relaxing vacation and a romantic getaway, stating she doesn’t participate in the latter.
She said of her current arrangements: ‘It’s very different. They’re three like quite long term.’
Just last month Carol said she has no desire to settle down.
The television personality has been divorced twice and hasn’t been in a relationship since her split from journalist Des Kelly in 2007.
But she has no plans any time soon to be finding one man and settling down.
In a January interview with The Mirror, Carol stated she isn’t looking for a serious relationship at the moment, joking that she might consider it when she’s 82 – with someone much younger!
Carol criticized the societal pressure on women, explaining that many people believe a woman needs a male partner to travel, live a fulfilling life, or simply have fun – but that’s absolutely not true.
Supporting women isn’t about being against men; it’s about empowering women to pursue their goals and opportunities in the world.
Last year, Carol revealed she was in relationships with five different people, and she’s stated before that she prefers committed relationships rather than casual encounters.
Carol has shared that she prefers not to have one-night stands, but she does date several men she playfully calls her ‘special friends’.
