As a dedicated fan with a heart full of admiration for George Clooney, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and anticipation every time he graces our screens. His latest film, Wolfs, alongside his long-time friend Brad Pitt, promises to be an exhilarating ride.

At the 81st Venice Film Festival, Amal Clooney and her husband George were a stunning pair in attendance, with Amal captivating everyone with her appearance.

For the debut of his newest movie “Wolfs”, the human rights attorney, aged 46, captivated onlookers in a striking yellow dress with a corset design.

Amal’s dress features a fragile lace material, cinched at the waist, and then fans out into an impressive, rippling skirt.

She styled her hair into a voluminous blow dry and carried a glitzy box clutch bag to top off  her glamorous look.

With an arm gently wrapped around George, aged 63, the pair appeared deeply affectionate during their photo shoot at the eagerly awaited gathering.

In the movie, George teams up with Brad Pitt to portray cleanup professionals dealing with crime. Remarkably, they both find themselves tasked with the same assignment – eliminating evidence from a hotel room, specifically a corpse.

In the caper film, it’s said that leading actors Brad and George received a staggering $35 million apiece, and they demanded that the movie be premiered in theaters.

However, following a change of plans, Apple’s producers have decided to limit the release of the movie, reportedly costing as much as $200 million, to just U.S. theaters for a single week.

In all regions outside this territory, it will be released directly on streaming platforms, thus becoming one of the costliest television films ever produced.

After a series of high-budget movies produced by their streaming service, such as Napoleon, Killers of the Flower Moon, and Argylle, failed to perform well in theaters, Apple has decided to alter its approach.

George Clooney disputed claims that his earnings reached $35 million, instead stating they were significantly less, far below that substantial sum.

However, he mentioned that it was disappointing how things turned out. He expressed, “It’s something we wished for, something we desired, and Brad and I even returned part of our wages to make it happen. We encountered a few obstacles on the journey, and setbacks are inevitable.”

It’s disappointing indeed, but there’s some consolation: many people will still watch the movie, and it’s set for release in several hundreds of cinemas. It would have been great if we could reach a broader audience.

He said that the economics of streaming are still being ‘figured out’ but added: ‘We are figuring it out. We need Apple and Amazon and they need Sony or Warners who have been doing it for 100 years.’

Pitt stated, “I adore the presence of streamers since they allow us to witness more stories and talents, which in turn reach a larger audience. However, achieving this requires a careful balance.”

Asked what the fact that a film with two huge stars was going straight to streaming said Clooney deadpanned: ‘Clearly we are in decline.’

The two men have been friends for decades and last worked together 15 years ago in the movie Burn After Reading.

Clooney said: ‘In Burn After Reading I got the extreme pleasure of shooting him in the face and we thought maybe we would try it 15 years later.

For years, both Brad and I have been walking our own paths individually and as a team, and it’s proven to be quite fruitful. As time went on, it seemed like our back-and-forth exchanges, the way we constantly spar with each other, simply flowed effortlessly.

The two gentlemen are currently brainstorming ideas for a follow-up movie, and Pitt expressed: ‘We felt there needed to be a compelling reason for us to collaborate on a project, something we could expand upon. Moreover, as I’ve grown older, working with individuals I enjoy being around has become increasingly significant.’

Apple spent more than a million pounds by renting out the entire Cipriani hotel for the weekend use of Pitt, Clooney, and their companions, who were footed by the company funding the project.

Among their circle of friends are Bryan Lourd, agent to George Clooney, who dined out with Amal on Saturday evening, and Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, who has previously socialized with the Clooneys at their villa on Lake Como.

Additionally, the team includes Director Jon Watts, who had to leave due to contracting Covid-19 during his stay in Venice and has since returned home by airplane.
