BKFC fighter snaps ankle back into place, Turki Alalshikh goes off on reporter & Mighty Mouse submitted at IBJJF

As a lifelong combat sports enthusiast with a knack for the gruesome and the great, I can’t help but be in awe of the events that unfolded this past weekend. Let me break it down for you, my fellow fans.

In this piece, I dissect the latest happenings within the realm of combat sports, offering my perspective on them. Each day, come back for a fresh take on the day’s biggest or most intriguing stories, along with my opinions. If there’s a specific news article, interview, or viral clip in this field that you’d like me to respond to, feel free to tweet me at @photoamy33, and I may feature it in an upcoming segment.

BKFC fighter snaps ankle back into place

At a BKFC Prospect Series event held at River Cree Resort & Casino, Edmonton on Saturday, I found myself witnessing an unforgettable moment with Trevor Bozniak. He took a hit that sent him crashing to the ground and dislocated his ankle in the process. But what truly left me stunned was when he nonchalantly popped his ankle back into place as if it were just another ordinary day!

Gruesome injuries in MMA and boxing happen all the time, in fact, we just wrote a whole piece about some of them, But this kind of ankle injury is rare inboxing and even more gruesome to see the aftermath of him popping it back in. It’s not a video for those of you who might be squeamish.

Turki Alalshikh went off on a boxing reporter

Turki Alalshikh had some harsh words for boxing reporter, Jake Donovan on Twitter. It’s unclear how this started as it seems tweets have been deleted but Alalshikh called Donovan a “coward” and essentially worthless to which Donovan replied, “F*ck you and good night.”

It seems there’s a history between the characters that hasn’t been revealed to us yet. Since boxing is unfamiliar territory for me, I intend to investigate further to uncover the source of this ongoing conflict. However, one thing is clear – I wouldn’t want to upset Alalshikh.

Demetrious Johnson submitted at IBJJF

Over the weekend, I found myself submitting at the IBJJF World Masters tournament, following three consecutive victories in a row. As a devoted fan of mine, it’s always humbling to bring home a win from such a prestigious event.

It’s likely that many people will assume John’s skills have declined based on this match, but that assumption would be off the mark. Remember, these competitors are elite-level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners who dedicate their entire year to training in BJJ. For John to reach this stage is truly remarkable.
