Okay, so I just heard some awesome news! That medical drama, The Pitt – the one everyone in the US has been raving about for over a year – is finally coming to the UK! Seriously, season two is already out in the States, and it’s getting amazing reviews. Rotten Tomatoes has it almost perfect, and Vulture called it super engaging and really well made, even comparing it to classic ER. I’m definitely going to check it out!
It’s not surprising at all, considering the 15-episode series was created by R. Scott Gemmill, a writer from ER, and features Noah Wyle, a well-known actor from the same show.
Following his departure from the role of Dr. John Carter in 2006, actor Noah Wyle now plays Dr. Michael ‘Robby’ Robinavitch, the head doctor at the emergency room of a financially troubled hospital in Pittsburgh.

Still deeply saddened by the death of his mentor, Robby is struggling to cope with his grief while also trying to keep a financially strained and overworked ship afloat.
Robby’s team includes experienced staff like Heather (Tracy Ifeachor) and Frank (Patrick Ball), along with charge nurse Dana (Katherine LaNasa). They’re all helping guide new intern Trinity (Isa Briones) and medical students Dennis (Gerran Howell) and Victoria (Shabana Azeez) through a demanding shift, along with residents Samira (Supriya Ganesh), Cassie (Fiona Dourif), and Melissa (Taylor Dearden).
