As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I must say that this situation between Ricky Recard and his ex-girlfriend Lauren Smith is a classic example of how not to navigate relationships, especially when they intertwine with professional commitments.
Ricky Recard, everyone’s crush from The Block, has been labeled a heartbreaker by his disappointed former girlfriend, as he broke up with her just before their planned romantic getaway abroad, instead choosing to reconnect with a married makeup artist he met on the show.
After waiting three months at home, Lauren Smith’s 34-year-old partner ended their relationship while he was busy filming a renovation show for Channel Nine on Phillip Island.
Shortly following their separation, it came to light that he had started a relationship with Erin Lee, a woman who was previously married and has two children. Notably, Erin ended her relationship with her distraught spouse to pursue a romance with the popular TV personality.
Instead of making matters worse, Recard immediately departed for a vacation with his fresh romance, forcing Lauren to embark on their planned romantic trip to Mexico alone for her 30th birthday celebration.
‘I was absolutely blindsided,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.
For a period of about three months, I took care of his dogs and his home, all while lending a hand to his staff in managing the business.
Ms. Smith mentioned that she and her partner had planned a vacation abroad to mark her significant birthday, as it would be their initial time leaving their young daughter behind.
She mentioned that our trip was planned at the start of July, which would have been around her 30th birthday, but unfortunately, we split up approximately two weeks after he returned from his filming stint.
During my stay in Mexico, I learned that it seemed like he had started a relationship with Erin while I was gone.
From Melbourne, Recard publicly announced his blossoming connection with a 40-year-old mother of two on various social platforms.
The couple flew to Port Douglas in Far North Queensland last month and ‘hard launched’ their relationship on his private Instagram page.
He posted an image of the couple together with the caption: ‘Beach time with this stunner.’
On Thursday, Miss Lee too revealed to Recard, in a message that read: ‘Occasionally, unforeseen paths guide us towards better things and the joy we have long sought.’
‘Trust the journey.’
According to Mr. Day, Ms. Lee became romantically involved with the tradesman from The Block, following their marital separation, and it’s worth noting that this tradesman bears a striking resemblance to her former love rival, Recard.
‘We are separated now and I’ve dealt with it,’ he told Daily Mail Australia.
‘They got together after we split when he got back from Mexico in July and we were done then.’
Day acknowledged that he shares a remarkable likeness with Ms. Lee’s new partner, describing their shared appearance as “quite unusual.”
‘It is a bit strange, it definitely is,’ he said.
In a recent interview with New Idea, Recard confirmed his new lover, but didn’t identify her.
Strangely enough, even though she was employed as a makeup artist for The Block, he asserted that she had no idea about his participation in the series.
‘I can definitely say she was impressed, and why wouldn’t she be?’ he said.
‘The reason why she was impressed was not because I’m on The Block. She thinks it’s pretty funny.
‘She didn’t know I was on The Block when we started seeing each other.’
He even claimed she poked fun at him and joked she was now dating ‘someone famous’.
In the thrill of being a die-hard admirer, I can’t help but share that even I, amidst the sea of fans, wasn’t an exception when Recard was hailed as the heartthrob in this year’s eagerly awaited 20th anniversary series. It’s not just the spotlight that makes him shine; it’s his charm and charisma that truly captivate us all!
I’ve managed to captivate quite a few women, earning the title of their ultimate celebrity dream date, as they express their admiration for my charming masculinity.
People are smitten with his upbeat demeanor and playful wit, expressing their affection on social media platforms by declaring that they root for Ricky’s Yellow Squad as the best team.
As a humble plumber, I found it amusing when someone referred to me as a celebrity crush. After all, I don’t consider myself well-known enough to merit such a title.
‘I don’t know if I consider myself a celebrity, seriously,’ he told Yahoo Lifestyle.
