In a surprising move, reality star Ellie Dix from the show “Married At First Sight” announced that she’s putting up her wedding ring, which belonged to her on-screen husband Ben Walters, for sale.
On Saturday, the 32-year-old cosmetic nurse who ended her relationship with her Married at First Sight groom during the series and subsequently formed a connection with fellow cast member Jono McCullough, posted an update on Instagram.
Next to a picture of Jono sporting the diamond ring Ben presented during their MAFS wedding this year, Ellie penned some playful captions.
‘Hey look, I found a wedding ring from that time I married a stranger,’ she began.
Ellie then added she was prepared to sell the ring to whoever made an offer.
‘Jono McCullough modeling the goods. DM to make an offer,’ Ellie wrote and added a laughing emoji.
This year, I found myself teamed up with Ben Walters as a tour guide on MAFS, but it didn’t take long for me to realize that my heart lay elsewhere – with the captivating Jono McCullough, who was matched with Lauren Dunn.
Jono and Ellie faced the label of ‘villains’ following their decision to break up with their respective partners to start a romantic relationship together.
The pair recently revealed they are taking the next step in their relationship.
On Wednesday, the contentious couple openly acknowledged that they’ve jointly established a business. Notably, the cosmetics nurse disclosed her intention to revisit her original profession.
Sharing an exhilarating update on her Instagram Stories via a video post, Ellie disclosed to her followers that she and her partner, who is 40 years old, are embarking on a new venture together – setting up a business.
‘We have some really exciting news. We have started a cosmetic company together,’ she told fans.
On the latest season of MAFS, Jono and Ellie stirred up a storm due to the revelation that they were involved in a romantic entanglement while Jono was still wedded to Lauren Dunn.
The duo has maintained a steady relationship ever since the show concluded, and they’ve hinted at plans for starting a family down the line.
