The Penguin on HBO/Max coming Sept. 19

Let’s get started with HBO/Max! At the top of our list is “The Penguin,” debuting on Sept. 19 exclusively on HBO and streaming simultaneously on Max. This DC crime drama stars Colin Farrell as the lead character, a role he always gives his all to. I can’t wait to see how fantastic Farrell will be in this series! Initially, there was some uncertainty due to contracts, deals, and changes at HBO about whether “The Penguin” would continue or not, so I’m thrilled that it all worked out.

This production, titled “The Penguin,” features the talents of Cristi Milioti, Clancy Brown, Mark Strong, Rhenzy Feliz, Carmen Ejogo, Theo Rossi, and more. It links to the DC universe as a follow-up to Matt Reeves’ “Batman.”

How to Die Alone on Hulu coming Sept. 13

Hulu is offering us a fresh comedy-drama titled “How to Die Alone, ” penned and acted by Natasha Rothwell, who might be familiar from “The White Lotus ” or the “Sonic the Hedgehog ” film series. With such diverse roles under her belt, it’s evident that Rothwell has mastered the art of blending drama and comedy seamlessly. So get ready to fall in love with “How to Die Alone” as it promises to become our next favorite show! But let me tell you more about this series…

The movie “How to Die Alone” focuses on Mel (Rothwell), a woman who has resigned herself to a life without dreams. However, after a brush with death, Mel reconsiders her outlook and discovers that it’s always possible to pursue dreams or find love, no matter the circumstances. “How to Die Alone” promises to be an entertaining watch, but I suspect it might tug at our heartstrings as well.

Have you thought we’ve already finished with Hulu? We’ve got one more Hulu series we’re eagerly anticipating – it’s actually an FX series, specifically titled American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez. New episodes of this series will air on FX, and they will be available to stream on Hulu the next day. The series is set to debut on Sept. 17 and will trace the life story of former NFL star Aaron Hernandez, promising a controversial viewing experience.
