Grey’s Anatomy star Natalie Morales returning for season 21

As a long-time fan of Grey’s Anatomy, I couldn’t be more thrilled to hear that Natalie Morales is returning for season 21! It feels like just yesterday when Dr Monica Beltran made her debut, and now she’s back in the thick of it. The ‘will they, won’t they’ with Amelia Sheperd was quite the rollercoaster, but I’m glad she ended up with Winston Ndugu – what a power couple!

Grey’s Anatomy star Natalie Morales is returning for season 21, it has been confirmed.

In the 20th season of my all-time favorite medical drama, I became Dr. Monica Beltran, a new addition to the cast. My character was at the heart of a tantalizing romantic tension with Amelia Sheperd, but in the end, I found myself partnered with Winston Ndugu instead.

At the end of season 20, viewers were left guessing about the return of certain characters since Meredith Grey stepped down, Owen Hunt, Teddy Altman, and Amelia were dismissed, and the newly hired surgeons hinted they might leave as well.

Excitedly, I’m sharing the latest scoop from TheWrap! It seems that the talented actress Morales will grace our screens in six episodes of the upcoming season, starting with episode 2. What’s even more intriguing is that she has the opportunity to extend her role for additional episodes if she chooses! Fingers crossed for more of her captivating performances!

Actress Ellen Pompeo, who portrays the character Meredith, is set to return during Season 21 for a minimum of seven episodes. Actor Scott Speedman, known for his role as Meredith’s love interest Nick Marsh, will appear in at least five episodes throughout the season.

Actress Camilla Luddington, known for her role as Jo Wilson, has returned and shared that reading the script for Season 21 left her feeling quite surprised or startled.

In a chat with her co-star Jessica Capshaw from “Grey’s Anatomy” and their podcast a few weeks ago, Luddington shared: “You know what’s amusing, Jess, and you know this – we never have any idea of what’s going to happen. We aren’t given any advance notice, so I was reading the script in bed this morning and I was quite surprised. I was taken aback.”

“I was amazed and yeah, we’re going back next week, I actually have a table read tomorrow.”

The 21st season of “Grey’s Anatomy” is set to debut on ABC in the United States on Thursday, September 26 at 10pm Eastern Time. If you haven’t caught up with previous seasons, you can stream them on Disney+ in the UK.
