Eternal Fire knock FURIA out of BetBoom Dacha, secure top 4
As a dedicated fan of CS:GO, I must say that the match between Eternal Fire and FURIA at BetBoom Dacha was nothing short of thrilling! The all-Turkish side showcased their resilience and skill, outsmarting the formidable FURIA led by the legendary FalleN.
Even though FalleN gave it his all, unfortunately, FURIA’s journey in the tournament has come to an end. On the other hand, Eternal Fire gets to keep battling, which is a win for them!
On August 30th, Eternal Fire emerged victorious in a lower bracket semifinal match against FURIA at BetBoom Dacha. They claimed victory on Vertigo (13-6), suffered defeat on Nuke (13-5), and ultimately secured Mirage (13-9) to take the series.
On the Turkish team’s side, they put in a considerable amount of effort to secure their victory, as FURIA’s captain, Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, was delivering one of the top performances of his career. At 33 years old, he wrapped up Nuke with an impressive rating of 2.52, an ADR (Average Damage per Round) of 144.8, and a K/D ratio (Kills to Deaths) of 29-9, according to HLTV’s statistics.
In a post-game chat with Xpsp, Eternal Fire’s player Ali “Wicadia” Haydar Yalçın confessed that playing against FalleN on the map Nuke was particularly challenging for him.
Wicadia stated, “We couldn’t catch a glimpse of him in the game Nuke. He was absolutely unstoppable.”
Wicadia about FalleN’s historic performance on Nuke, his best LAN map ever
What’s next for Eternal Fire at BetBoom Dacha after beating FURIA?
With Eternal Fire reaching the lower bracket final, they now need to observe which team emerges victorious between paiN Gaming and Virtus.pro, so they can start their preparations for the following day.
As a member of Eternal Fire, I’m content with our top 4 finish at BetBoom Dacha in Belgrade, Serbia. Yet, when I reflect on all the talented teams that graced this event, Wicadia has made it clear that they’re not just satisfied with a good showing – they’re gunning for the tournament victory.
As we approached this tournament, victory was our primary ambition. I’ll give my all and strive for the ultimate glory – to be crowned champions. Here’s to a thrilling competition!
