First look at Robbie Williams biopic Better Man as it confirms premiere
As a long-time fan who has followed Robbie Williams’ meteoric rise from Take That to solo stardom, I am beyond excited about the upcoming biopic “Better Man.” The fact that Robbie himself is playing the lead role adds an intriguing layer of authenticity to the production.
Robbie Williams biopic Better Man has revealed a first look as well as a premiere.
The upcoming film adopts an imaginative perspective when portraying the legendary singer’s life, delving into his journey from being part of Take That to achieving a successful solo career, with Williams portraying himself on screen.
The initial snapshot of our project is revealed, featuring actress Raechelle Banno portraying her role as Nicole Appleton under the guidance of director Michael Gracey.
A picture of the singer himself has also been released.
Additionally, it’s been revealed that the movie “Better Man” is set to debut tonight (August 30) at the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado. Further screenings will take place throughout the weekend.
The news arrives following the confirmation that the film is set for cinema release by the end of this year, specifically on December 26th.
Additionally, similar to Williams and Banno, the film will feature Alison Steadman from Gavin & Stacey and Steve Pemberton from Inside No 9 playing the roles of the singer’s parents. Furthermore, Jonno Davies is cast as a younger depiction of the main character.
Regarding the project in 2021, Gracey told Deadline: “I aim to portray this extraordinary tale with a raw, authentic touch, transitioning smoothly from gritty realism to breathtaking fantasy.”
In contrast to those individuals who were born as prodigies or geniuses, whose brilliance is eventually recognized by the world, this isn’t a tale of that kind.
Robbie is a typical individual who dared to dream grandly and pursued those dreams, which led him to an extraordinary destination. Consequently, his tale is remarkably relatable. He isn’t the most gifted singer or dancer, but despite this, he has sold over 80 million records globally.
Better Man will be released in cinemas on December 26.
