Disney After Hours 2025 dates and event details for Magic Kingdom
As a seasoned Disney enthusiast with countless magical memories etched into my heart, I can hardly contain my excitement as I hear the enchanting news that Disney’s After Hours Event is making its triumphant return to Walt Disney World in 2025!
Disney World’s cherished After Hours Event will make a comeback in 2025, with selected evenings earmarked across the year. This exclusive, ticketed event plans to return in 2025.
Each Walt Disney World park hosts the event on distinct dates. For instance, Magic Kingdom Park occurs only on specified nights between January 6 and May 19, 2025. Conversely, events at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be held on select nights from January 22 to September 3, 2025.
For Magic Kingdom, here are the confirmed After Hours Event dates for 2025:
- January 6, 13, 20 and 27
- February 3, 10, 17 and 24
- March 3, 17, 24 and 31
- April 7 and 28
- May 5, 12 and 19
Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom park details
At Disney After Hours, guests can enjoy a tranquil experience with reduced crowds as it is a separately ticketed event costing between $175 and $185 per ticket. With fewer visitors in the park, wait times for popular attractions are significantly shorter, and certain rides continue operation during extended hours.
Even though the main event starts at 10:00 p.m., those with a Disney After Hours ticket can enter the park from 7:00 p.m. onwards. Essentially, for this price, you’re enjoying six hours in the park.
During this special event, some of Magic Kingdom’s most popular rides, such as TRON Lightcycle / Run and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, will be operational. Typically, these attractions use the Virtual Queue, but for this event, a regular standby line is available instead.
As a thrill-seeking fan, I can’t help but get excited about the array of attractions available during the event! Space Mountain, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan’s Flight, and many more are all open for us to enjoy. Normally, these rides can have wait times of 45 minutes or longer during regular park hours, but with Disney After Hours, the wait is non-existent! It’s the perfect opportunity to make the most of your time at the park without standing in long lines!
Beyond offering quicker lines, Disney After Hours also provides complimentary treats and drinks during the night. You can savor ice cream treats, popcorn, and selected bottled beverages, which come free with your admission and are accessible from snack stations scattered across the park.
Three hours, or six if you arrive at 7:00 p.m., might not sound like much, but the shorter queues actually give you ample opportunity to accomplish a great deal. In fact, you could potentially fit more into these three/six hours than an entire day at the park would allow.
