The upcoming project, set to debut at the BFI London Film Festival in October, adopts a unique blend of tunes, readings, and dramatic vignettes. It draws inspiration from a collection of love letters that were sent to Geraldine Flower, the mother of a friend of Icelandic singer Emilíana Torrini.

The initial trailer offers a glimpse into the unique blend of styles found within the film, with Torrini sharing how the letters sparked her creative spirit.

The singer expresses, “I became captivated – these letters contain a depth of affection that could sustain couples for a century… Reading them has a unique ability to reveal aspects of individuals that other things can’t.”

Subsequently, we’re treated to a sampling of various readings featuring celebrities like Richard Ayoade and Nick Cave, along with fresh compositions by Torrini tailored for the movie, accompanied by intense visuals and theatrical elements.

The clip ends with Catz in character as Miss Flower, as she jokes: “It’s a crazy, stupid story…”

In addition to the title character, The Remarkable Lady Flower boasts performances by Siggi Baldursson, Alice Lowe, Mark Monero, Niall Murphy, and Angus Sampson. Furthermore, Sophie Ellis-Bextor contributes her vocal talents to this production.

20,000 Days on Earth was skillfully directed by the duo, Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard. Earlier, they shared that an extraordinary amount of their thoughts went into devising innovative strategies for merging music and cinema.

Following an unexpected encounter with Emilíana in Reykjavik, it was clear that she would make an exceptional partner for a fusion venture such as ours.

1. She has an enchanting charm and is an exceptional storyteller, always keeping a gleam in her eyes. This movie aims to portray a magical transformation process, working hand-in-hand with the camera. In our perspective, it’s at that shared space where genuine magic occurs.
