The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3 begins production!
As a dedicated gamer who has spent countless hours navigating through the zombie-infested landscapes of various games, I must admit that my anticipation for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is at an all-time high! The fact that it’s set in Europe and continues the story of one of my favorite characters, Daryl, makes it even more intriguing.
Title character Daryl Dixon from “The Walking Dead” has achieved great acclaim and is a key component of one of the most well-received spinoff series based on “The Walking Dead.” The program delivers a novel perspective on the zombie apocalypse, unfolding in Europe while simultaneously advancing the narrative of beloved figure Daryl Dixon. In the upcoming season 2, set to air in September, Daryl reconnects with his comrade Carol (portrayed by Melissa McBride). As for season 3, the pair ventures into Spain, long live España!
Following the massive achievement of its initial run, AMC swiftly granted a two-season extension to the character Daryl Dixon, with additional seasons potentially forthcoming. The second season, titled “The Book of Carol“, unfolds Daryl’s journey in France, where he has settled within a fresh community nestled inside the renowned Mont Saint-Michel commune. Naturally, Carol is en route to France to reunite with him. Reedus hinted that this new season boasts the most spectacular finale ever seen on The Walking Dead. Here’s the trailer:
Daryl Dixon season 3 begins production!
On X, the authentic Walking Dead page posted a backstage video featuring Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride, filmed in sunny Spain. “Hello friends!” exclaimed Reedus. “We’re thrilled to be filming season 3 here in stunning Spain.” McBride enthusiastically chimed in: “Let’s get moving! Onward, let’s go!”
HOLA ESPAÑA!

Fans have been brainstorming intriguing hypotheses as the series’ settings shift to Spain. One particularly unexpected theory posits that Daryl and Carol could cross paths with Jeffrey Grimes, Rick Grimes’ brother from the original series. Though it might seem implausible, it is worth noting that Rick does have a sibling in the comic version of The Walking Dead. In a standalone story by Brian K. Vaughan titled “The Alien,” we encounter Jeffrey in Spain and witness a slice of his voyage. Nevertheless, Rick Grimes in the TV show has never spoken about having a brother, making it unusual to introduce one now.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 2, The Book of Carol, premieres September 29 on AMC.
