As a seasoned fan of the macabre, I must say that diving back into the world of Beetlejuice, albeit through its sequel, has been a delightful trip down memory lane. The original film was a refreshing blend of humor and horror that struck a chord with me, and seeing it come to life again on the big screen is nothing short of exhilarating.

Fans of Beetlejuice are frantically trying to secure tickets for the London premiere as time runs out, following the sequel’s astounding 4-minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival.

The upcoming movie, “Beetlejuice 2,” is a highly anticipated continuation of Tim Burton’s 1988 fantasy comedy horror film titled “Beetlejuice.”

The film will have its UK premiere at the Leicester Square Odeon on Thursday night and will hit UK cinemas on September 4.

35 years later, Catherine (who is now 70), Winona Ryder (52 at the time), and Michael Keaton (72) are all set to return to their original roles in Beetlejuice 2.

It had its global premiere in Venice on Wednesday, and fans flooded X, formerly Twitter, to reveal their plans to attend the London premiere.

#BeetlejuiceBeetlejuice lands an enthusiastic 3-minute standing ovation for Michael Keaton and Tim Burton as the opening night movie at #Venezia81. The clapping would have gone on for longer, but the festival programmers cut the lights to let the actors leave.

Back in 1984, I couldn’t help but get hooked on this spook-tacular tale, Beetlejuice! Here’s what went down: After a tragic car mishap took my life and that of Adam Maitland (played by the dashing Alec Baldwin), we found ourselves in a haunting predicament – we were stuck, unable to depart from our beloved country abode.

Upon purchase of their new home by the challenging Deetzes family, including Catherine O’Hara, Jeffrey Jones, and their daughter Lydia (Winona), the Maitlands struggle but fail to drive them away through various attempts at scaring them off.

In simpler terms, their endeavors summon Beetlejuice (Michael), a mischievous ghost whose assistance rapidly turns perilous for the Maitlands and sweet Lydia.

The storyline of Beetlejuice unfolds as follows: A turn of events leads the three generations of the Deetz family to their home at Winter River.

Lydia’s life takes an unexpected turn as her mischievous teenager accidentally unearths a secret gateway to the spirit world, which was previously haunted by Beetlejuice.

When someone repeats the name Beetlejuice thrice, the mischievous spirit appears joyfully, eager to wreak havoc with his unique style.

At Wednesday’s premiere, Winona wore a suit-inspired dress and hugged Jenna, who stunned in red.

As a die-hard fan, the echo of my applause was abruptly halted when the festival organizers, in a swift move, doused the stage in darkness, allowing the performers to take their well-deserved bows and exit.

Previously, when I shared the screen with the incredible Winona Ryder, I felt nothing but warmth and welcome from her, kindness, and an invitation to join forces right off the bat. I can’t express enough gratitude for this amazing experience.

At a point when my profession was shifting in an unexpected direction, I didn’t recognize it then, but I needed someone who could empathize with me. However, I did find that person, she stated further, explaining that she was experiencing a period of significant change in her life following her sudden rise to fame on Netflix’s Wednesday.

Earlier on, Winona shared with Slash Film that she struggled to visualize a follow-up for the successful movie.

She mentioned that she hadn’t envisioned Lydia as someone with kids or involved in a romantic partnership.

She seemed to me like she was mostly preoccupied with her own thoughts as she grew older, living secluded yet contentedly, though often by herself.
