Oasis’ legendary guitarist Gem Archer ‘will rejoin brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher for band’s 2025 tour’

As a long-time fan of Oasis, I can hardly contain my excitement about this potential reunion tour. I remember blasting “Wonderwall” and “Don’t Look Back In Anger” on repeat during my college days, singing along at the top of my lungs with friends. The thought of seeing them live again is like a dream come true.

As a connoisseur of all things related to music and lifestyle, I’m thrilled to share the news that legendary guitarist, Gem Archer, is rumored to be reuniting with his bandmates for an epic comeback tour in 2025! This reunion promises to be a spectacular event for fans who have long missed the magic of Oasis on stage. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting development!

57-year-old Archer became a member of the band after Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs exit in 1999, and it’s reported that he maintains friendly relationships with both his previous bandmates, Noel and Liam Gallagher, who were once involved in sibling disputes.

The 14-performance tour is scheduled to take place from July 4 through August 17. It will commence at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, followed by performances at Heaton Park in Manchester, Wembley Stadium in London, Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, and Croke Park in Dublin.

According to a source, it’s not completely set in stone, but it seems that Gem and Bonehead are strong contenders for the band. It’s essential to find individuals who the brothers get along with, as well as those who they respect. Ideally, these people would have previously been part of the band too.

‘Gem ticks all those boxes and he also contributed to the writing of some Oasis songs. He is an obvious target and it would be a huge shock if he was not on the stage for the UK tour’.

Before adding: ‘He knows the songs, he knows the band inside out and he has been on tour with the Gallaghers before and so he knows what he would be signing up for’.

TopMob have contacted Gem’s reps for comment.

Archer began his musical career in the early 1980s with bands like The Edge and The Contenders.

After the split of Oasis in 2009, he teamed up with Liam Gallagher, Chris Sharrock, and Andy Bell in what was once known as Beady Eye. Additionally, he has performed alongside Noel Gallagher’s band, High Flying Birds.

Although there have been rumors about Oasis playing at Glastonbury 2025 and touring, it’s clear that they won’t be taking the stage at Worthy Farm. On the other hand, preparations are being made for Oasis to visit continents beyond Europe sometime next year.

In a clandestine meeting, the pair got together privately to discuss the potential return of Oasis, an event that’s been speculated. Those on staff who were there had to promise not to disclose any details about it.

Introducing the Oasis Live 25 tour, featuring a rare photo of the brothers, the iconic group expressed: “After years of silence, the stars have aligned. The long-awaited moment has arrived. Don’t miss it – this event won’t be broadcast on TV.”

1. The Oasis site went down promptly following the announcement, with fans going wild in excitement. The upcoming reunion happens just one day prior to the date the band disbanded on August 28, 2009.

At the main event in Reading, Liam took the stage and played several tracks off Oasis’s first album, Definitely Maybe, as a tribute to its 30-year anniversary.

Presenting “Half The World Away” – a 1994 B-side, which was also used as the theme music for the popular sitcom “The Royle Family.” He addressed the crowd with these words: “I’d like to dedicate this song to Noel, well and truly Gallagher.”

At the Reading Festival, Liam carried on leaving fans puzzled as he dedicated his performance of “Cigarettes & Alcohol” to those who dislike Oasis.

On their 1994 debut album Definitely Maybe, the closing song was a composition penned by his elder sibling.

At the end of the performance, Liam proposed that an announcement might be made on Tuesday at 8am. A brief video of an Oasis-style emblem was then displayed on a big screen overhead, which was later posted to the official Instagram and X accounts of Oasis, Noel, and Liam.

A white, rectangular-shaped object with a central black block displayed the date ‘27.08.24’ where the band’s name would typically be found. Later, it flashed and switched to show ‘8am’.

Recently, Liam has shown a strong desire to reconcile with his elder brother and revive their famous Britpop group. However, his brother has expressed skepticism or disapproval about this plan.

However, following his £20m divorce from former spouse Sara MacDonald the previous year, it’s reported that the older Gallagher has been convinced by the potential financial gains to reunite Oasis for performances at Glastonbury and Wembley Stadium.

It’s anticipated that this tour will break records as the most attended concert series in British history, according to experts. They believe the agreement between the brothers stands to earn them approximately £50 million.

Fans of Oasis were excited when Liam hinted at a potential nationwide tour for “Don’t Look Back In Anger” next year.

Asked on X, formerly Twitter, about the planned Oasis shows, Liam wrote: ‘See you down the front’.

He later told his 3.6m followers on the platform: ‘I never did like that word FORMER’.

Regardless of the improvement in their relationship, the younger Gallagher sibling still found an opportunity to take a jab at his brother. In response to being asked what he would tell Noel when they share the stage again, he retorted with: “Carry on.”

As an over-the-moon, diehard fan, I can hardly contain my excitement about the upcoming Oasis reunion tour! With ticket sales skyrocketing and fans flocking to every city on the roster, it’s predicted that our economy will receive a massive ‘supersonic’ boost. Demand for accommodations and hospitality in each gig location is set to soar, making this reunion not just a musical event but an economic powerhouse too!

Establishments like hotels, taverns, lounges, and eateries located close to the concert venues are now poised to profit as fans eagerly await the band’s highly anticipated comeback, wishing to savor the experience fully.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d like to share an exciting piece of news: The payment provider SumUp predicts that this upcoming tour will inject a staggering £350 million into the UK and Irish economy! That means each enthusiastic fan is expected to spend approximately £350 per concert. So, let’s get ready to enjoy the music and support our local economies at the same time!

In addition to expenses related to tickets and souvenirs, the company anticipates a grand total of £112 million in travel costs, £76 million on hotel accommodations, and £22 million for food and beverages. Furthermore, they predict that the combined seating capacity across all tour locations will amount to approximately 1,007,888 people.

The anticipated average travel expense per person is around £111, with hotel accommodations ranging from approximately £111 in Cardiff to £158 in London for two adults sharing a room. Additionally, you might need about £40 for souvenirs and around £22 for food and beverages at the venue. On top of that, there’s an estimated cost of £100 per ticket.
